Micheal Carrington, creative director of CBeebies will be coming to chat live next weds, Jan 30th from 1-2pm. In his previous job, he brought, amongst other programmes Lunar Jim and Charlie and Lola to the BBC, and he's now editorially responsible for the CBeebies digital channel as well as for all CBeebies output on BBC ONE and BBC TWO; and for bbc.co.uk/cbeebies.

So if you've got a burning question about the future of Iggle Piggle and Upsy Daisy, or want to start a campaign to bring back Chigley, please join us at 1pm next weds (that was Watch with Mother time in my day ).

If you can't make it on the day, you can of course post your questions in advance here.

agree about Justin

and Handrew

Oliveoil · 30/01/2008 11:57

Boogie Beebies is torture (is it still on?)

Come Outside and Step Inside (with the weird house) are both good

Cappuccino · 30/01/2008 11:58

oh can we have more physically disabled children in and among?

eg someone on Boogie Beebies in a group in frame/ wheelchair doing the dance

not just the occasional disabled child doing the dance all alone in a room with their carer

I know that Something Special is great for those with learning difficulties but you see very few disabled children unless it is a specific segment with children from a special school; I haven't personally seen any physically disabled person just appearing alongside able-bodied children/ characters (except Penny Pocket she was ACE)

I will loan you my daughter if it helps, she is very pretty

Cappuccino · 30/01/2008 11:58

Boogie Beebies is great Olive shut yer trap

please make Pete wear shorter t-shirts so we can see his midriff when he is reaching up

Oliveoil · 30/01/2008 12:00

it is vomit inducing

I think Tikkabilla has disabled children in the opening credits iirc (and Something Special is across the board imo, my children love it, mainly for Mr Tumble and the fabulous Justin)

Beauregard · 30/01/2008 12:02

More fans of ITNG here ,also Space pirates,Something special (absolutely fantastic programme )

Can we have more of Sid and Andy doing the number rap please?
There is something about it especially Andy

Cappuccino · 30/01/2008 12:03

oooh really Tikkabilla credits?

no I know you see disabled children but they are always together ifswim

eg when you get a group of children usually they are racially mixed which is all good, but you get very few mixed groups with disabled children in them

IndigoViolet · 30/01/2008 12:03

The new something special at 9 is great. My 2 boys love it and sit quietly the whole way through it.

Cappuccino · 30/01/2008 12:04

ifswim?

iyswim

ShrinkingViolet · 30/01/2008 12:04

Can we have a list of which sexy male celebs are doing the bedtime story and when please for those of us who don't have DCs young enough to be watching the Bedtime Hour (I only caught Rupert P-J reading a story about pirates by accident, and I still haven't managed to see Marc Warren).

Beauregard · 30/01/2008 12:05

Did i mention that Chris from Doodledoo is quite sexy too?

More Beebies totty needed,lol.

IndigoViolet · 30/01/2008 12:06

Ooh yes, a timetable of the story readers would be a very good idea.

Piffle · 30/01/2008 12:07

Sid in lycra?

LOL

Beauregard · 30/01/2008 12:08

Yes Piffle it could be called ..'Stretch with Sid'

IndigoViolet · 30/01/2008 12:09

Swimming with Sid (in Speedos)

bossykate · 30/01/2008 12:10

please cancel boogiebeebies - it's dreadful!

Cappuccino · 30/01/2008 12:13

stop it the lot of you Boogie Beebies is good

you want them to bring back Fab Lab instead?

No. Thought not.

Nemoandthefishes · 30/01/2008 12:17

Just wondered what age cbeebies is expected to cater up to as ds is 4.4yrs and for past 6mths has hardly watched cbeebies apart from charlie and lola. both dds love ITNG which is fab and helps them wind do but also agree about the upsy daisy doll

IndigoViolet · 30/01/2008 12:18

The newer boogiebeebies is very good. Ds1 and I love the songs.

The older ones are pretty crappy (with Natalie)

ladytophamhatt · 30/01/2008 12:19

boogie beebies need to taken off the screen.

MY god, whoever thought that programme was worth the license fees needs their head tested.

ruty · 30/01/2008 12:20

ds,3, wants to ask why Sportacus sleeps in his clothes [and hat] and doesn't wear pyjamas. This has been troubling him recently. I want to thank Michael Carrington such brilliant programming [crawl] especially Nina and the Neurons, Toomy Zoom and NumberJacks [ds's faves]. Would like less American stuff even though it is redubbed into English. And more programmes with a musical [not dancing] theme would be good, Space Pirates good generally but whoever is choosing the music has a bit of a nineties thing going on. [Please nothing like Agadoo or Cheeky Girls again, more Blue Man Group and Stomp] Cheers!

Cappuccino · 30/01/2008 12:20

yes Nemo it has been mentioned

CBBC seems all really pre-teen - dd1 has been bored since she was 5 or 6 really but has nowhere else to go

ruty · 30/01/2008 12:20

Fab Lab. [shiver]

Cappuccino · 30/01/2008 12:21

LTH as I keep telling my dd, Boogie Beebies is boring unless you join in

you're just not putting the effort in love

IndigoViolet · 30/01/2008 12:23

That cheeky girls number on space pirates was hilarious. My mate and I still sing it when we've had a couple of glasses too many.
