Micheal Carrington, creative director of CBeebies will be coming to chat live next weds, Jan 30th from 1-2pm. In his previous job, he brought, amongst other programmes Lunar Jim and Charlie and Lola to the BBC, and he's now editorially responsible for the CBeebies digital channel as well as for all CBeebies output on BBC ONE and BBC TWO; and for bbc.co.uk/cbeebies.

So if you've got a burning question about the future of Iggle Piggle and Upsy Daisy, or want to start a campaign to bring back Chigley, please join us at 1pm next weds (that was Watch with Mother time in my day ).

If you can't make it on the day, you can of course post your questions in advance here.

Btw, you can watch Mr Maker on BBC iplayer at the mo.

But it's just not the same as watching the DVD 987539847 times over and knowing all the words, is it?

CaptainCod · 29/01/2008 16:18

whyw as sue sacked

SheikYerbouti · 29/01/2008 16:19

Because she was a crack ho, coddy

IndigoViolet · 29/01/2008 16:20

Ooh yes - please get rid of Clifford. It's a shocking programme - so patronising, even to toddlers.

We love Sid and Andy chez Violet. Chris and Pui are also fab.

Huge big round of applause to everyone at cbeebies and a massive thank you from my 2 boys (and me).

Fimbo · 29/01/2008 16:23

Please can you have presenters that can actually sing.

Where can I buy a Cbeebies t-shirt? (Don't want to have to enter a competion thanks).

Fimbo · 29/01/2008 16:24

Actually Dr Tanya would be a lovely presenter.....

IndigoViolet · 29/01/2008 16:25

And can we have nothing but gorgeous men reading the bedtime story please?

Nbg · 29/01/2008 16:26

Whats the story behind Balamory then?

Why has it bit the dust?

I also would like to say that INTG is brilliant.
My son couldnt care for tv at all but he absolutely adores this programme.

Although I am slightly peeved at how much it costs for the merchandise!

Fimbo · 29/01/2008 17:13

I had to hunt high and low looking for an Iggle Piggle on Saturday. Everywhere is sold out. Dh eventually got the last one in Tesco.

Apparently The Times were slagging ITNG, ds's nursery teacher is going to write to them as she thinks its wonderful.

CaptainCod · 29/01/2008 17:15

id have liked more BOYS stuff
go diego go stuff

CaptainCod · 29/01/2008 17:17

also, Mike( cna i call you mike? i feel we are pals now)
i remember one eyars ago whe the clocks changed in the Autumn some GENIUS parent/employee at the bbc put the kids shows on to start an hour earlier.
now htis doenst affect me any more but god it quickened the heart of evrey parent i knew...

Gitch · 29/01/2008 19:04

HAH! i have it!

Justin, Mike, what do you think of Justin? I think he's wonderful, utterly talented and Something Special (with the exception of Baby Tumble) is fabulous. is it true that the dvds are more expensive than the usual BBC ones, though? If so, why?

ChorusLine · 29/01/2008 19:09

Space Pirates - when was this filmed the songs in this are years old? Also Barnaby Bear is very old as she is now in Hollyoaks - why the repeats?

MichaelCarrington · 30/01/2008 11:12

Test

TheOldestCat · 30/01/2008 11:20

Hallo Michael!

Another ITNG lover here (apart from the white upsy-daisy dolls, but surely that's not the BBC's fault?). Great from you lot.

My question is - does the CBeebie garden, which the presenters and bedtime-storytellers sometimes refer to, really exist? Is it the Blue Peter garden moonlighting? I think we should be told.

witchandchips · 30/01/2008 11:20

Could you do at cbeebies+1 to fit in with those who go to bed at 8ish rather than 7ish

sfxmum · 30/01/2008 11:24

and can we have Springwatch and Autumnwatch which aren't a repeat please - great shows

don't mind repeated small segments throughout the year

Piffle · 30/01/2008 11:29

Big applause for Charlie and Lola, ITNG.
Finding Jackanory a bit snory, and this is from a book and story mad 5 yr old.
Finding Storymakers damned boring as it seems cemented into 6pm. Repeated ad nauseum. Surely you could afford some new ones by now?

Toddworld is awful, Barnaby Bear is WOEFUL even the 10 mth old crawls off when that's on.

And one teensy polite request
Any chance of stopping the numberjacks at 8.35 not 8.40am? Choice is sad 5 yr old or being late for school - or lately both!

Piffle · 30/01/2008 11:30

Oh and one more thing
Am loving Sid and Andy and their songs (esp the number ones) and that's from the mother although the kids like them too

My2Weegirls · 30/01/2008 11:35

another one from me - can you remind the presenters that not all of the UK has the same school/nursery/play group holidays as England and that cbeebies is UK wide (and while youre at it any chance you could remind the rest of the BBC ).

DiamandaGalas · 30/01/2008 11:38

Can we please have more europena languages cartoons wiht interactive stuff pleaaase!

Piffle · 30/01/2008 11:40

Justin Fletcher is ACE

Oliveoil · 30/01/2008 11:42

Justin is fabulous, he should be on all day every day

(can I have his phone number for babysitting purposes?)

thanks

edam · 30/01/2008 11:53

yeah, get some golden handcuffs on Justin. Very talented and brilliant.
