Sunday Times columnist India Knight will be joining us here on Monday 2nd July from 9-10pm for a live chat. India has just published her first children's book 'The Baby' which is about a big brother's relationship with his new baby sister - an absolute must for second-time parents. If you can't make the chat you can post your questions in advance here.
Hope to see you here on Monday.

india where do you stand on the feeding children grapes in supermarkets issue? theft, or necessary act of motherhood?

BenStiller · 02/07/2007 21:05

india what is your posting name on Mumsnet?

expatinscotland · 02/07/2007 21:05

Back to earlier Qs...

Hello Lareda. I don?t know what to suggest ? obviously I?m not a doctor, or indeed a diabetic, and I?m wary of advising an insulin-dependent diabetic . Are you sure Dr B is complicated? The two people I know who?re following it seem to find it fairly straightforward? Come over to pig2twig and ask on there, I?m pretty sure someone ought to be able to help.

VoluptuaGoodshag · 02/07/2007 21:05

I always had to cover the photo of Christa D'Souza coz she scared the bejasus out of me. Like her column though.

indiaknight · 02/07/2007 21:06

Dear MMJ, good question. I used to think it was absurd to pretend that no-one used those words when clearly thousands of people did, so I bunged them in. Also, they used to make me laugh, because they?re just so babyish. I now have a child with special needs myself, so I?m not so keen anymore. And I feel uneasy about having used them. But not penitent.

lulumama · 02/07/2007 21:06

rubY was just about to text you ,make sure you din;t miss this!*

TheArmadillo · 02/07/2007 21:06

DO you think that we still live in a very sexist society?

Has feminism fulfilled its aims?

Who do you believe are good role models for women today?

I don't always agree with your colimn, but think it is very good - makes me think

indiaknight · 02/07/2007 21:06

ExpatinScotland: Most things are incredibly obvious. Nurses should be paid more. Stay at home mothers should be paid (and revered). We need more cheap housing. War sucks.
And it?s ?Dickensian?.

indiaknight · 02/07/2007 21:07

BS I'm not a member here. Would take over my life.

mumto3girls · 02/07/2007 21:07

Thanks for answering my q India. Would you recommend writing for s living now or do you think there is too much chick lit now with everyone jumping on the Bridget Jones band wagon...?

DoubleBluff · 02/07/2007 21:07

HAve you ever met Cherie Blair and what is she really like?
Is she a real life alpha mummy?

oliveoil · 02/07/2007 21:07

lol

expatinscotland · 02/07/2007 21:07

Thanks, India. Top marks for being observant .

I wouldn't know about war, thankfully, but from what I hear and have heard, it does indeed suck.

India. what are your thoughts on John Smeaton, baggage handler, skiver, banjo-er and have-a-go-hero? i love him, but then i can understand what he says.

LadyTophamHatt · 02/07/2007 21:07

just thought I'd say hello, I know alot of Mners rave about your bits in the paper.

I constantly suffer from brain fog so The Times is waaaaay too much for me.

I bet this chat will go down a storm....

indiaknight · 02/07/2007 21:07

Puddle: It works like this ? you read the papers all week, tear things out if they appeal to you, call your editor on Friday morning and suggest two or three topics. Hopefully you have opinions about all three. But yes, there are weeks when you have zero opinions about anything, or when ?your? topic is being done by someone else.
