Sunday Times columnist India Knight will be joining us here on Monday 2nd July from 9-10pm for a live chat. India has just published her first children's book 'The Baby' which is about a big brother's relationship with his new baby sister - an absolute must for second-time parents. If you can't make the chat you can post your questions in advance here.
Hope to see you here on Monday.

You drinkers buzz off and start using my recipe for lemon vodka. And berry vodka.

Serve over sorbet.

Everyone will think you're a ponce.

EIT: the thing that makes me practically hyperventilate with rage is how a) difficult and b) slow it is to get anything done. We're doing the education thing at the mo, and honestly - it fries my brain. And I am tenacious, relatively articulate, combative, good at forms. What really, really bothers me is what you're supposed to do if you're none of these things.

bellabelly · 02/07/2007 21:29

Hello India, are you watching Big Brother? Why / why not?

Piffle · 02/07/2007 21:29

oh yes statementing...

Oh and you could ask the Early yrs support teams (If you're lucky enough to have them) to continue helping your child even if you deem it necessary to put them into a private nursery due to all others BEING useless for a child with severe visual problems.

Statementing has been abandoned here by us, we've given up even though school starts in Sept.

And could they make the DLA forms a little less probing and precise - as if SN fits into any kind of regular daily pattern...
Why can they not take specialists advice for heavens sake...

sorry

indiaknight · 02/07/2007 21:29

QC: yes. Doesn't have to be diet.

saggarmakersbottomknocker · 02/07/2007 21:29

India - how are you coping with cod's typing? lol

Carmenere · 02/07/2007 21:29

Do NOT let Cod anywhere near your dieters, they are not ready for her particular brand of tough love.

expatinscotland · 02/07/2007 21:30

You see, india, that's why I've got gess .

The statementing process awaits us!

Oh, goody!

Piffle · 02/07/2007 21:30

No - Cassandra is manic depressive American singleton - waif-like, wears black - ALWAYS...

indiaknight · 02/07/2007 21:30

BB: not this year. Which is weird, because I usually get really into it. It's just not doing it for me this time.

Blandmum · 02/07/2007 21:31

The only kids that we now see in y7 with a statment have parents who have fought like mad people.

Those kids who's parents get worn down by the whole damn stupid procedure get bugger all. make me want to punch walls.

indiaknight · 02/07/2007 21:31

Dinner = steak and salad. Camping: a major, MASSIVE Nay until now. But I've relented... ask me again in August.

Whoooosh · 02/07/2007 21:31

Oh am late to this so forgive me if the question has been asked but have you visited MN beofre-so you post?

bellabelly · 02/07/2007 21:31

BB is my secret addiction, though every year I SWEAR I won't watch it...

MegaLegs · 02/07/2007 21:32

I get frustrated at the way the SN services in this area are all mouth and no trousers. They keep dangling carrots, ds4 can have this, do portage, join the theraplay group, have an MRI scan etcc.. but so far not a sausage

indiaknight · 02/07/2007 21:32

All of you people writing about SN are more than welcome to put your stuff in writing and post it to me for my blog. It's very cathartic, if nothing else...

Whoooosh · 02/07/2007 21:32

Oh God-post makes no sense due to large intake of clear spirits

Blandmum · 02/07/2007 21:32

re camping ask us for hints on good sites. We are the people who KNOW!

indiaknight · 02/07/2007 21:32

Woosh - I read the GF stuff after someone emailed me to tell me it was happening.

MegaLegs · 02/07/2007 21:33

My posts are going to sound like the ramblings of a mad woman as my connection is soslow tonight, by the time I've postedthe thread has moved on.

Yes, and a ponce over in the vodka thread let me in on a tip that Waitrose brand voddy is nice. So I nipped over and bought some for flavoured voddies.

But I'm only making them as gifts.

WendyWeber · 02/07/2007 21:33
