Calling all Catastrophe fans: We’re very excited to announce that co-authors and stars Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney will be joining us for a webchat tomorrow eve (9-10pm), directly before transmission of the final episode of the season.

Sharon Horgan is an irish actress, writer and director. She won a British Comedy Award for her BBC show Pulling which was also nominated for a BAFTA for Best Sitcom. Rob famously rose to fame on twitter where his hilarious tweets soon caught the eye of comedy promoters. He now has 1.2 million followers and it was on twitter where he first met Sharon and they conceived the idea for the series.

Join us on this thread on Tuesday evening to chat with Sharon and Rob and if you’re unable to join us then, post your questions in advance on this thread.

Have to be here for this one - I'm expecting big laughs Grin no pressure

Question for Sharon - I too am an ex convent girl but I had a great time at my school - Who was your favourite and least favourite nun and why?

Pantone363 · 01/12/2015 11:14

No question but I just wanted to say you saved our relationship!

Two days of not talking, passive aggressive banging around and sticking our fingers up at each other behind closed doors caused by a screaming baby who refuses to sleep.

DP stomps into the living room that night and grunts "I'm putting Catastrophe on"

Ten minutes later we were laughing together and nodding along. The sex whilst the baby cries is inspired!

sugargrace · 01/12/2015 12:17

Hi Sharon and Rob,

I found the writing consistently brilliant up until the point where Rob's colleague lies about sexual harassment which in my opinion was a lazy, misogynistic trope and not particularly funny. Who's idea was that then?

Wonderful show otherwise.

WeepingInTheBushes · 01/12/2015 12:47

Sharon - where do you get your clothes? I love the wardrobe you have for the show, do you choose yourself or do you have someone advising on that?

Love the show its hilarious. Keep them coming!

manana21 · 01/12/2015 14:43

love the show - you're both fabulous. Rob - which story line can you most relate to?

McButtonwillow · 01/12/2015 15:07

Love this show! My question to you both are what are the best and worst bits about working together?

RobDelaney · 01/12/2015 15:22

Rob Delaney here testing my login. Excited for tonight and all the #sexxxy Mumsnet mums. Let's get intimate. xx

hocuspocusbark · 01/12/2015 15:34

Hello Rob & Sharon! My husband wants to know do you relate to your characters and if so what aspects? I really love the characters and think the way they are written is just so refreshing, particularly about the struggles of marriage, parenthood & friendships. I also have house envy for your house.

DickDewy · 01/12/2015 15:53

How do you go from being a hoot on Twitter to being an actor? Or were you an actor before?

Channel 4 don't seem to publicise Catastrophe much, do you agree? I'd never heard of it until I saw the first 2 episodes on a flight this summer. Just 2 episodes! They could've at least put the series on

WeShouldOpenABar · 01/12/2015 16:10

Oh my jebus I'm so excited we love Catastrophe I text my sister after each episode to watch it , with babies the exact same age I think she'd relate, but with babies the exact same age she has no time to watch!

Question for Sharon : Who came up with your character name in Moonboy and then Catastrophe were you just sick of being called by names other than Sharon and from now on you're just sticking to your own?

mizu · 01/12/2015 17:10

LOVE Catastrophe, love, love, love it. My sister and I will text each other afterwards too.

Best bit this season has got to be the Gollum/boner bit in the bedroom Grin

Best comedy on TV at the moment.

Questions? Sharon - love your clothes in it, Whistles??

Badders123 · 01/12/2015 17:32

God, I bloody LOVE this show.
I haven't got a question but can I just say....Sharon...in last weeks episode where you are talking to the headteacher about your son and his difficult start....it was just.... EXACTLY how I felt when my ds1 was little.
He was prem, lots of health problems and the look in your eyes when talking about that time really resonated with me.
The constant low level stress and worry about them...you got it. Perfectly.

Keep up the good work!

goonermc · 01/12/2015 17:39

This is seriously one of THE best things on TV EVER- thank you so much for writing it - your acting is ridiculously good x

BoffinMum · 01/12/2015 17:44

DH thinks you are recording our conversations, this programme is so true to life.

Seriously, you are very good. Very good indeed. And my question is how embarrassing were the shagging scenes in the beginning?

BoffinMum · 01/12/2015 17:44

(I bloody love how he always backs her up unconditionally. That is fucking ace).

Lurleene · 01/12/2015 17:57

Hi Sharon and Rob -looking forward to Catastrophe tonight but sad this series will be over, it has flown by.

Sharon - please can you tell me if the Complete Boxset of Pulling, including the Special, will be released in the UK?

DH refuses to buy the current version because it 'isn't complete'!

Whatthefoxgoingon · 01/12/2015 18:11

Basically, I am Rob and my husband is Sharon. I sometimes cringe when I watch this.

MuddhaOfSuburbia · 01/12/2015 18:36

we reeeeeeeeally love Catastrophe. I made all my friends watch it

it's so lovely to have Real People in a sitcom- but with much nicer houses

another one here who'd LOVE a dvd of the Pulling Special (I've got the two series tho, so don't stick them all together, will you

DancingDuck · 01/12/2015 18:42

Can't be around tonight as I'm working. Love the show. I was feeling lousy this afternoon and put it on catch up to cheer me up. Cackling away within minutes. You are both so good at what you do.

DancingDuck · 01/12/2015 18:44

The only question I can think of is: Rob, how do you concentrate, working with a woman with legs like that? I'm straight but they'd distract me.

RomComPhooey · 01/12/2015 18:59

Rob Delaney here testing my login. Excited for tonight and all the #sexxxy Mumsnet mums. Let's get intimate. xx

Flirt away, but my husband will be watching (lurking) tonight - mainly because he wants to know about Carrie Fisher....

lightgreenglass · 01/12/2015 19:10

The house - that's exactly what I was thinking - how the hell do they afford that!? I loved Sharon going back to work - me and DH can relate so much to the whole show. Love love love it!

SharonHorgan · 01/12/2015 19:44

Hey, Sharon here. Just testing the log in and the waters. And they feel warm and wet.

RomComPhooey · 01/12/2015 19:55

My husband has ventured on to MN for the first time for this web chat. He tells me he's bookmarked the page ready for 9pm.

wtfisgoingon · 01/12/2015 20:08

LOVE the show and the humour. One of the only things I watch on the TV, so you are honoured indeed. Question for Sharon... The teal boots in the Paris episode, where are they from? X
