Hello all,
Piers Morgan, former Editor of the Daily Mirror and News of the World, and now Executive Editor of First News, a weekly newspaper aimed at 9-12 year olds, is coming to Mumsnet for an online chat on Tuesday 10th October at 12.30pm. So make sure you make a note in your diary to log on and post a question. If you can't make the actual event do post your question in advance here. Whilst he can't promise to answer every one he'll do what he can (and we reckon he should be able to type quite fast being a journo and all that).
Best,
MNHQ

redbullbloodandbump · 10/10/2006 14:09

so no answer on my SN question and if he understands the affects jamie olivers eating has had on SN schools????

TutterIckOrTreat · 10/10/2006 14:09

zippitippitoes · 10/10/2006 14:09

exactly Kelsbells

NOMurDErousPLUME · 10/10/2006 14:10

Has he gone without answering the SN question ?

TwigTwoolett · 10/10/2006 14:10

anorak .. that's unfair .. he's continuing in the tone that was set for him by lewd mumsnetters ...

I do think he's skirting the issues .. but he's self-publicising isn't he? Why on earth would he write anything thoughtful and deeply meaningful .. that's not exactly what he built his career on is it?

I still luvs ya Piers

Overrun · 10/10/2006 14:10

It would be good if there was an announcment when its over, is this it?

PiersMorgan · 10/10/2006 14:10

Dear everyone,

That was most entertaining, particularly all the abuse. I've quite missed all that since I was a tabloid editor.

I hope you all go and try First News now, if you and your kids read it but don't like it then that's fine. But I promise you that they, and you, will.

Thanks for having me, and if Greensleeves wants my number please don't give it to her. I want to play hard to get.

love Piers

heifer · 10/10/2006 14:10

I like him to.

He has just conformed to your opinion of him...

Lighten up MNs, all just a bit of fun, surely you knew what he was like before he came on here.

I like banter....

WideWebWitch · 10/10/2006 14:10

quite, kelsbels

Gobbledispook · 10/10/2006 14:10

for anorak. ditto.

TheBlairAitchProject · 10/10/2006 14:11

i'm amazed that so many of you like him for that display. really stunned. he was vile, was he not? and he must have ignored the SN question about 40 times.

CheesyFeetcomingtoGETyou · 10/10/2006 14:11

Ermmmm, I think you forgot something (SN question?????)

Gobbledispook · 10/10/2006 14:11

agree, he's a pompous arse

Greensleeves · 10/10/2006 14:11

ROFL

No hard feelings, Mr Morgan

niceglasses · 10/10/2006 14:11

Must admit, think we set the tounge in cheek tone. He was only giving as good as he got I think. Good fun. Disappointed about the climbing slide hot potatoe though.

misdee · 10/10/2006 14:12

piers please do answer that SN question before you go.

MellowMonsta · 10/10/2006 14:12

hee hee greensleeves methinks he likes you

UlySCREAMS · 10/10/2006 14:12

Can we get Stephen Fry on here? I know it's impossible but a girl can dream.

ScareyCaligulaCorday · 10/10/2006 14:12

You mean he went without even saying goodbye?

Tee hee

Agree you can't blame him for the lewd tone.

Although I find that these besuited Dave/ Piers men will always pick up and run with the tone of the posters they want to. Not everyone had a lewd tone and he chose to engage with the lewdness aspect of the thread rather than any other aspect. A woman could have multi-tasked and engaged with all tones!

Bananaknickers · 10/10/2006 14:13

arhh has he gone? wanted to know if he could give me Mathew Wrights phone number
