Hello all,
Piers Morgan, former Editor of the Daily Mirror and News of the World, and now Executive Editor of First News, a weekly newspaper aimed at 9-12 year olds, is coming to Mumsnet for an online chat on Tuesday 10th October at 12.30pm. So make sure you make a note in your diary to log on and post a question. If you can't make the actual event do post your question in advance here. Whilst he can't promise to answer every one he'll do what he can (and we reckon he should be able to type quite fast being a journo and all that).
Best,
MNHQ

TheBlairAitchProject · 10/10/2006 13:56

boys need to read about negative body image issues too, not only because they can suffer from them but their attitudes can contribute to young girls' anorexia. to say that the issue of anorexia pertains to girls only is to be ignorant of the facts.

misdee · 10/10/2006 13:56

greeny he may read! it. transplant affect kids as well. [asd]

ScareyCaligulaCorday · 10/10/2006 13:57

You're right Redbull.

Piers, you still haven't answered the question on SN. Have you reached it yet?

bundle · 10/10/2006 13:57

@ unnecessary apostrophe!

CreepyJess · 10/10/2006 13:57

Well I'm afraid I have to go now Mr. Morgan. It's been lovely talking to you (really!) even though you haven't had time to answer any of my questions, but I will pop back to review the thread, when I have made all the beds I stripped this morning, revised the last Block of my course for which I have an exam on Friday (13th ).. and of course painted my nails..

And I think I may just buy that paper of yours for my 14 y/old DS..

Bye.. and thanks

CreepyJess xxxx

desperateSCOUSEwife · 10/10/2006 13:57

PiersMorgan · 10/10/2006 13:58

Dear TwigTwoolett,

Ian Hislop is an irritating, hypocritical, moon-faced midget with the weakest handshake in Britain.

Other than that, he's a lovely man.

misdee · 10/10/2006 13:58

redbull, he may not have got that one yet.

he better read mine, i am a woman on a mad mission today.

bundle · 10/10/2006 13:59

Piers
what would you do with all the "excess" prisoners which are going to be bundled off to police cells?

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 10/10/2006 13:59

i like Ian Hislop

JessaJackOLantern · 10/10/2006 13:59

overrun I don't think anyone is objecting to girls being called girls, I think the issue is with the idea that there are "girl related issues" and "boy related issues" and that these may well fall into the 'traditional' categories of ponies, make up and finding a boyfriend/ sport, cars and boobs.

redbullbloodandbump · 10/10/2006 13:59

ive written it 2 times and mentioned the affect jamie olivers bloody food is having in SN schools

NOMurDErousPLUME · 10/10/2006 13:59

sorry, it wasn't 2shoes question, it was Redbull's question. It was the 'blood' bit in the name that threw me

PiersMorgan · 10/10/2006 13:59

Dear Kaloo20,

I knew exactly what I was getting myself into with mumsnet. Two million mums, bored at lunchtime, either wanting to give me a hard time or sleep with me. It's been most amusing.

Greensleeves · 10/10/2006 14:00

LOL Piers, Ian Hislop is worth ten of you and you know it

anorak · 10/10/2006 14:00

I've figured out Piers's strength.

He seems to have an endless supply of amusing insulting adjectives at his disposal.

MellowMonsta · 10/10/2006 14:00

Piers you certainly love yourself dont ya.

I love me who do you love?

WideWebWitch · 10/10/2006 14:00
