Hello all,
Piers Morgan, former Editor of the Daily Mirror and News of the World, and now Executive Editor of First News, a weekly newspaper aimed at 9-12 year olds, is coming to Mumsnet for an online chat on Tuesday 10th October at 12.30pm. So make sure you make a note in your diary to log on and post a question. If you can't make the actual event do post your question in advance here. Whilst he can't promise to answer every one he'll do what he can (and we reckon he should be able to type quite fast being a journo and all that).
Best,
MNHQ

NP & FIO

Read this, it should clarify things for you

tigermoth · 10/10/2006 13:45

Will First News carry product reviews? I assume so.

How do you feel about the growing materialism amongst your target age group?

PiersMorgan · 10/10/2006 13:45

Dear saltire,

Healthy eating is a massive priority for First News. We are working with Jamie Oliver on his various projects and will constantly bang the healthy eating drum for kids, because it's right to do so whatever those imbeciles think as they shove crisps at their kids outside the school gates to 'make a point.'

ScareyCaligulaCorday · 10/10/2006 13:45

No I don't think it was the Sun, I think it was the Mirror

Which isn't much better than the Sun in terms of its portrayal of women

But Piers was only the editor, so didn't have anything to do with negative images of women.

MellowMonsta · 10/10/2006 13:45

Piers - Since you are obviously loaded can you help us help a fellow mnetter as she has no heating and a 10 month old baby and no-one can help her with this for 6 weeks

nailpolish · 10/10/2006 13:45

jess just as well mellowmonsta got in there first cos i would have believed you

PiersMorgan · 10/10/2006 13:46

Dear fridascruffs,

I'd like to meet that penguin. When are you next having a bath?

niceglasses · 10/10/2006 13:46

God who isn't working with Jamie Oliver to promote healthy eating is what I want to know?

Greensleeves · 10/10/2006 13:46

Well, if he was a minister or a serious author or even a decent journalist, I would ask sensible questions about society and politics. But please. I couldn't give a monkeys what he thinks about the important issues. He's just good for a laugh - it's what he does, isn't it?

CheesyFeetcomingtoGETyou · 10/10/2006 13:47

I am beginning to suspect that we are deliberately being wound up...

PiersMorgan · 10/10/2006 13:47

Dear QueenEagle,

I can't be bothered. Just leave him.
