A plate has fallen down the back of the loo - how can I get it out?

And not just any plate - this is a plate painted by ME for dd's hair bands! I did it when she was painting a mug for dh- the man was so impressed he put it in the window. [preen]

It's annoying.

Now the cistern of the loo is built into a tongue and groove type wall affair, and can only be accessed from the top. The plate has fallen down, below the cistern, onto the floor below.

I can't reach it, nobody can reach it.

Any ideas?

I am very busy, I have such a lot to do, I am faffing around on here, first of all I was only going to stay on until 8pm, then I agreed 8:15 with myself, then after a little more negotiation I have come up with 8:30, and now, I am allowed to stay on until 100x plate has been safely removed from behind her toilet. HURRY UP!

Oh my god. I've been watching this thread since 100x put first post on. I've got that horrible panic feeling in my heart. You HAVE to get it out tonight. I've gotta do a full audit at work tomorrow, district manager won't understand importance of booble pate dilemma. Think i'm developing a nervous tic..

Perhaps DH and his incredible arms have reached it and they're all doing a celebratory jig round the boxed in cistern and shes got so carried away shes forgotten about the nation watching this thread thru slits in their fingers....
