DS 4, has a badge he calls “birdie friend.” I may post a photo later! It’s a badge with a bird on.

Birdie Friend seems to have the gift of the “sight!” “Birdie Friend says Bob and Rose are here mummy, they like to have tea with us. Bob and Rose are DH’s grandparents who died many years ago.

“Birdie Friend says the men who lived upstairs looked like you mummy when their faces burned off.” We used to live in a former military hospital and I had a sheet mash on my face! The ward upstairs had indeed been a burns/plastics ward!

“Mummy, Birdie Friend says the end is coming soon.”

So many small children predicting the end...

Not much happened when the chaplain came, DS showed him BF, the chaplain said some prayers and went round the house. We all had a cup of tea and one of my home made brownies!

We are actually going on holiday this week on a city break to a very ancient city so I’m intrigued to see what happens!

I need some clarification here.

Are all the humans going to die? (Meh, we probably deserve it.)

Is every living thing going to die? (Now that’s a real bummer.)

Is the actual world going to actually end, like implode or something, so no chance of a future chemical soup to get things started again? (Horrifying!)

Can we have a poll of the little wise ones please?

Took DS and BF out to lunch at a local cafe.

“Birdie Friend says all this will be gone soon mummy.”

Then went back to picking at his dippy egg.

‘All this will be gone soon’ could mean the cafe will be burned down or otherwise beset by disaster, or possibly all of civilisation!

Does Birdie Friend know the lottery numbers?

I knew a Dot and Bill that lived in a ‘50s house. Not sure it was military housing at one point though. Just a regular house in a regular village. Dot was utterly terrifying though...!

I am so glad to see this thread again. I thought it had been pulled because it stopped showing up in ‘I’m On’. It now appears the thread has been here all along but I couldn’t see it. Clearly this is the work of BF and his minions. Am shook.

Anyhow I’m glad you’ve had the Chaplain round for tea and some sage burning or whatever they do on these occasions.

Am slightly alarmed by the increase in prescient pre-schoolers predicting the end of times. I’ve got the decorators in next week and am starting to think all that fretting over paint colours and the disruption, not to mention the financial outlay, might all be for nothing.

Can you ask BF if it’s worth going ahead and ordering the Dulux or should I use the money on going down the pub every night and getting hammered. Does he have any actual dates to give us. I’ve also ordered a new raincoat 🤔.

‘The end’ is bloody terrifying me.

I’m wondering if I should waste the next few months on work and if I woul be better of spending all the money and having a whale of a time before ‘the end’

BSIntolerant that is a very good point. BF seems to be hinting at more of a plague type scenario than a Big Bang event. But either way I’m still left wondering how long we’re looking at in terms of my decorating project. Do I start shifting the contents of the living room or sit back and await doomsday?

Nemophilist do you reckon you should hang on for further info from BF before telling your boss to do one and blowing any savings? Thing is we don’t know what his track record is for prediction. He might be bloody hopeless and then you’d be unemployed and skint.

I asked BF for the lottery numbers - DS just looked at me like I was an idiot “he can’t COUNT mummy, he’s a birdie friend.” Okkkayyyy then.

DS said that BF is going to fly to our holiday destination. I would not be surprised if we left him at home and he turned up on my hotel pillow.

Plombear. Do NOT get into a plane with BF. He clearly knows stuff despite being somewhat cryptic in his messages. Please can you ask him whether I should go ahead and buy paint? I need a lot and it’s ££££. Don’t want to waste my time and money if we’re all doomed.
