I hope the literary TC will not object to being referred to as a thing.

Say what you like about TC, lockdown hasn't affected his motivation or pursuit of his customary activities. He's turning up for daily duty fresh as a daisy.

I bet he wishes he could work from home though.

AnneKipanki · 17/04/2020 12:02

Not his own home!

WeBuiltCisCityOnSeeingSouls · 17/04/2020 12:31

"I'll make sure I'm all really clean and sparkly then they will be bound to let me in"

Poor old TC.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 17/04/2020 12:35

MMMMMM!!!!! Tasty.

MrAlyhakinsMassiveYacht · 17/04/2020 16:52

Come on, we all know it's his home - hence the confusion over the closed doors and evil attacks from his cat friends.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 18/04/2020 12:20

Sybil is very unimpressed with TC following her today.
I feel a bit sorry for her at the moment. She's terrified of the lampshade monster, Lenny chases her and now TC is following her around.
I've provided Dreamies - they seem to got her purr working again Grin

Poor TC! Unrequited in love :(

I'm not surprised that poor Sybil is terrified of the mobile toilet brush!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 18/04/2020 12:24

Happy post-trauma cat (I'll pretend she isn't on the kitchen table)

I think I may be in love with Sybil!

FishingPaws · 18/04/2020 14:55

Dreamies solve any number of kitty issues...deli catz treats are the absolute favourite here (and have to be locked away or they will be stolen by a little furry thief!).

Supersimkin2 · 18/04/2020 15:27

TC is plighting his troth rather forcefully. Poor Sybil, being hassled, she needs a solo spot to chill. Have you ever tried to pick TC up Grumpy?

CassandraCross · 18/04/2020 17:04

I love the way Shakespearean language, quotes and comparisons keep dropping into this thread!

TC threads - amusing, heartwarming and literaryGrin.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 18/04/2020 17:19

On the old thread there is rather a wonderful photo of poor TC being picked up by NDN.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 18/04/2020 17:35

True confession time - I have on rare occasions picked TC up to move him (very carefully and only when he's in a good mood). He doesn't tend to scratch when you do - but you really have to avoid his teeth.

@CassandraCross Now that the first installment has gone onto classics - I like to think of these threads as a treasury of everlasting joy Grin.

I was very impressed with 'plighting his troth' earlier. It is a matter of deep regret to me that that phase is used so infrequently.

CassandraCross · 18/04/2020 17:58

These threads are most certainly a treasury of everlasting joy Grumpy and I agree that plighting of troth is definitely a phrase that should be used more often.

Supersimkin2 · 18/04/2020 18:02

I bet he was lovely and fudgy, even if you have to keep your main neck artery away from his playful little toothypegs.

Sometimes if you pick a cat up it annoys them just enough to stop doing what they were at; passive aggressive petcare at its finest. I thought it might come in handy for TC's advances to poor besieged Sybil.

Picking a cat up and kissing them can put them off doing anything for life.

Defiantly41 · 18/04/2020 19:55

@Allergictoironing truth be told, we are all in love with Sybil

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 19/04/2020 16:42

DW and I are just sitting on the garden steps enjoying the sun (and an iced coffee Grin).

TC has decided to join us to sunbathe while leaning on my foot.

Fang at the ready , and one eye open!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 19/04/2020 17:29

He was actually very relaxed - he even allowed me to (briefly) tickle his tum without savaging me!

OP posts:
Supersimkin2 · 19/04/2020 18:29

He is a beauty. Look at his shy smile of hope and love!

Just a teeny little incisor peeking out for a cheeky look.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 20/04/2020 09:55

He luffs you!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 20/04/2020 10:24

I have noticed that it is exactly one year since I posted my first TC update.

It appears that TC's charm offensive may be paying off. We were playing with Karl on the balcony (safe for a cat with a lampshade) and I spotted this going on below.

Crikey. Is Sybil succumbs he’ll move in.

Butterfly98 · 20/04/2020 10:35

@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats is your NDN's cat an 'only' cat? He might be lonely and wants to play with your cats and have some other cat company!
