My Neighbour is mowing their grass. They have been at it since 8am.
I don't think this is outrageous. It's a good idea to do it before it gets hot.

My neighbours came round with homemade curry but I'm supposed to be on a diet.

Oh well. It's delicious anf would have been rude to say no...

I have a guest bedroom with some stuff, like a lamp and a bed, in it. I felt it needed something so I decided to add a mirror and a couple of cushions to make it more cosy. It doesn't have an en suite.
My guests had a great time at mine and we are still friends.

5 week old DS will only sleep on me. I have no interest in persuading him to do otherwise as I know from DC1 that the newborn snuggle stage passes so quickly.

Next door made a really alarming, loud, fast banging at 23:30. Turned out they were crushing pistachios for a cake. I was very relieved they were not dead in a heap at the bottom of the stairs, and accepted the promise of a slice Grin

Dontyouopenthattrapdoor · 19/07/2016 13:33

Someone near me's dog barked for hours last night.

I closed the windows.

I'm a SAHM who likes buying things on eBay. DH will hand me the credit card bill with a list of PayPal transactions and ask if they're all correct.
If I say yes, he will just pay it.

Grumpyoldblonde · 19/07/2016 13:35

My SIL is coming to stay soon, she never stops talking, it's nice to have a good catch up.
The toddler next door is playing loudly in the garden, singing and giggling, it's lovely to hear her so happy and having fun.
A complete stranger started talking to me today while I was flicking through holiday and day out brochures and advising me were I should go, it was a lovely chat and he gave me some really good tips.
And finally, my daughter has been invited to a party, the other mum suggested that a voucher or money would be a good gift, great, nice and easy for me.

CuboidalSlipshoddy · 19/07/2016 13:39

I thought it would be nice to see my friend.

So I got in my car and drove there.

My daughter wanted to go and see her friend instead. So she got the bus.

CuboidalSlipshoddy · 19/07/2016 13:43

My parents are coming for Christmas. I'm looking forward to it.

CuboidalSlipshoddy · 19/07/2016 13:43

Someone said hello to my child. It's nice when people are friendly, isn't it?

dailymaillazyjournos · 19/07/2016 13:45

The neighbour in downstairs flat made a phonecall at 6.30am (like she often does). I blamed it on the zero insulation in this block and felt lucky I could just turn over and go back to sleep. She was getting up for work.

paxillin · 19/07/2016 13:47

I shower most days, wash my hair every other day and change the towels weekly. I am certain this is about right and need no confirmation.

I hasten to add it is equally fine if someone on mn showers weekly or hourly.

lljkk · 19/07/2016 13:57

My period seems odd, I don't sleep well & my body has new aches & signs of ageing. I didn't expect anything else as I got older. Getting older is great -- There are still so many things to do in life.

dodobookends · 19/07/2016 14:00

Yesterday I was a bit bored at work, so I resigned.

glambreakfast · 19/07/2016 14:02

I thought I might be pregnant. So I bought a pregnancy test kit. I wasn't pregnant.

glambreakfast · 19/07/2016 14:02

I thought I might be pregnant. So I bought a pregnancy test kit. I was pregnant. I told my husband using words, not a message buried in a cake.

glambreakfast · 19/07/2016 14:03

I thought I might be pregnant. So I bought a pregnancy test kit. The result was inconclusive. I waited a few days and took another one.

Mewtoo · 19/07/2016 14:04

Someone at baby group has called their child a name I'm not keen on. Up to them though, innit.

CuboidalSlipshoddy · 19/07/2016 14:05

My second cousin once removed has a friend whose sister in law has the same name that I want to give my child. That's a coincidence, isn't it?

GirlWithTheLionHeart · 19/07/2016 14:08

A woman stroked my baby on the cheek in Costa yesterday. I didn't mind at all

CuboidalSlipshoddy · 19/07/2016 14:09

My partner has a friend. Sometimes they talk to each other.

Charley50 · 19/07/2016 14:13

This is my best ever thread. Takes me back to Viz. Grin

littlejeopardy · 19/07/2016 14:13

Sat down in a shady part of a courtyard for lunch today and a waiter came to tell us that the coolest part of the cafe was a table in the garden room and asked if my baby would be more comfortable there.

He was spot on and we had a great lunch with a happy baby. I am glad he told us.

OhNoNotMyBaby · 19/07/2016 14:24

My NDN has traditional hurdy gurdy organs in his sheds (multiple) in his garden. He plays them at least once a week - usually Sunday afternoons when I'm in the garden.

I don't mind at all. In fact, I secretly quite like it because I can pretend I'm at the seaside.

lurkingfromhome · 19/07/2016 14:24

My elderly mum drives me completely insane at times. Still love her dearly, though, and wouldn't for a minute dream of cutting her out of my life because she says things that irritate me.
