Aibu over lady using my parking spaces.

We live in a housing estate and each house or flat has one or two spaces allocated to them. Most of the spaces are directly outside our houses except a few that are round the side that have garages. The spaces aren't numbered but everyone seems to know who's is whose. There's a new neighbour that has moved in next door to me (a corner house) and has a garage parking space round the back of her house, however she uses both my spaces as she parks in the middle of them. It's quite annoying when there's nowhere else to park as you have to park further down the road.

I went over today and introduced myself and poilitley told her the spaces were mine and hers was round the back but she was welcome to use our other space when we don't have guests but could she park to one side so I can fit my car next to hers. She looked at me with a blank expression, said no and shut the door on me! What do I do now!? I just stood there for a moment open mouthed and then went home.

Now I'm not sure if she has mobility problems as she's not exactly nimble anymore (about 65) but I am shocked at her one word reply!

POOSONAR - Person on other side of neighbour across road.

Happy to help!!!

andsmile · 18/02/2015 00:15

never has 'poo' looked so attractive eh?

Thumbwitch · 18/02/2015 00:17

Oo! just caught this and really intrigued as to how it will play out!
Did the estate managers say what could be done if the letter failed to have any effect? I'm thinking towing the car would be ideal... it costs quite a lot to get one back too. But if it's a private estate then the council won't do it. :(

I LOVE NAR though - he sounds like a star.

Has anyone suggested a kipper up the exhaust pipe of rude NDN yet?

Fairyfellowsmasterstroke · 18/02/2015 00:18

Some people are there to be admired.

My can't our politicians and judiciary be so ballsy and firm????

CrazyRainbowLady · 18/02/2015 00:31

Shameless placemarking so I can find this for an update tomorrow.

Now I'm off to find out what a penguin bollard is.

gallicgirl · 18/02/2015 06:18

I'm glad they're not pussy footing around. Direct action straight away. Grin

Ememem84 · 18/02/2015 06:52

Ooh I love this. I'm annoyed I have to go to work. So I can't hit refresh all day...

Op yes do drive nar to work.

Littleturkish · 18/02/2015 06:59

I'm really hoping you get to see her squirm when she needs to get in her car OP.

I'd be tempted to leave a note saying 'do you give a shit now?' On her car...

VivaLeBeaver · 18/02/2015 06:59

OP, you do realise you can't go to work or be otherwise busy today? We expect a near seamless running commentary of events. Grin

Thumbwitch · 18/02/2015 07:05

Do you know anyone who has a skip that they would like to leave outside your place for a month or 2? Obviously leaving space for you to park your car, but making sure that BloodyWoman can't park in the middle of spaces?

OR - here's an idea - you could get a fairly cheap metal spike fence and cement it in between the 2 spaces, so that she physically can't park across both spaces, and your NAR could do the same (once she's ever moved her fecking car from his spaces, anyway)

Hissy · 18/02/2015 07:20

Skip need go outside her garage, right up against the doors and on any other space she has and left there for a week.

Typed declaration of war delivered same time stating that if she ever parks anywhere except her own allocated spaces they'll be back, filled with Earth and will become municipal allotments for the rest of you in compensation for her shocking lack of manners and despicable rudeness.

LaLaLaaaa · 18/02/2015 07:28

Stop filling the thread people! We need to leave space to find out what happened!

This thread is fascinating to me I have been hooked since I stumbled across it yesterday Grin. I can't believe the sheer bare faced cheek of the woman, she must truly not give any fucks about other people.
