AIBU to ask DH to wear underpants?

JuniorMumber · 03/09/2014 22:13

Ever since we've lived together my DH has always enjoyed relaxing around the house with just a t-shirt on and no under garments. We jokingly refer to it as 'Donald Ducking'. Now that we've had a baby (six weeks ago today!) I think it's time he started wearing under crackers around the house. It just seems more appropriate. AIBU to ask this of him?

Somehow these are not as sexy as the kurtas:

Men's nightshirts

AgathaF · 04/09/2014 14:40

Witchway - are you still married to him???

Shock at the H who dried himself all over with the hairdresser. Thank goodness it was a typo....

If you are going to get him a nightshirt, I think you should also add this to your shopping list to complete the look.

OTheHugeManatee · 04/09/2014 15:02

Does anyone remember the DH that used to dry himself all over with a hairdresser?

Grin Grin Grin

OTheHugeManatee · 04/09/2014 15:03

Oh and ewwwww at those men's nighties. So very hospital patient Shock

If DH proposed to wear one of those to freebollock in I would be obliged to LTB stat.

Waltermittythesequel · 04/09/2014 15:05

Make sure the nightie is long though.

Otherwise it'll just be like some sort of grotesque, slightly horrifying game of peekaboo....or peek a poo, I suppose.

Why be coy about your chest when your penis is just sitting there like a sleepy aardvark on your thigh?

This wins the internet!

This thread is classic.

LOVING the verb "freebollock" Grin

FoxyHarlow123 · 04/09/2014 15:17

I'm still stuck on the fact that you're prepared to share with us all the fact that yr lovely husband likes to keep his "starfish" well cleaned but you've gone all coy about the size of the schlong.

TimBurgessILoveYourSmile · 04/09/2014 15:53

MMMMM sounds sooo attractive :)
You have my sympathy, my husband thinks nothing of going
to the garage down the end of the garden in tshirt & pants [yes really!]

Sazzle41 · 04/09/2014 15:56

Is he none too bright and and thinks you find it a turn on? Seriously unhygienic and... men look ridiculous with flapping bits under a tshirt

Ilikepie · 04/09/2014 16:11

yanbu. let him read this thread. he deserves it.

GhoulWithADragonTattoo · 04/09/2014 16:20

Showing a person a thread written about them is an act of purest folly...usually. In this i think you'll find your DH dressed appropriately before you can say "free-bollocking" Grin

GhoulWithADragonTattoo · 04/09/2014 16:20

this case

Bogeyface · 04/09/2014 16:28

Does anyone remember the DH that used to dry himself all over with a hairdresser?

Well thanks for that, a bit of my coffee went down the wrong way and I am covered in dribble, coffee and tears after a choking fit! :o

Who knew that Free-Bollocking was a thing? This place is an education and no mistake! H did it once, I dont know why I think he had got out of the shower and realised he had left something down here. I didnt mean to be nasty but I turned round, saw him and went "ewwww!" and pulled a face. He looked a bit crestfallen and has never done it since, so win win!

Sallyingforth · 04/09/2014 16:30

I was brought up in a naturist family, and we only wore clothes around the house/garden if we needed the extra warmth. What else are they for?
Now DP and I live the same way. We do have cloths on the chairs, and usually keep to the same chairs but its not essential because (a) we like to think we are clean people and (b) the cloths get chucked into the washing very frequently, just as pants would be.
It's an non-issue really.

GhoulWithADragonTattoo · 04/09/2014 16:38

That's different Sally. You and DH clearly agree that you prefer to have no clothes and use protective cloths which are changed frequently. OP is clearly not a nudist and finds her DH's lack of pants unpleasant. She has indulged his so far but now they have a baby wants him to make a change to what is frankly the norm. I would also say there is a difference between being totally nude and wearing tops but no bottoms.

OTheHugeManatee · 04/09/2014 17:16

Sallying He freebollocks, you freeboob. That's an entirely different situation. And the OP's DH doesn't seem to see any necessity for protective arse cloths on the sofa either, as she has told us he is very proud of his starfish hygiene.

(Out of curiosity, do you remove the protective arse cloths from your sofas when you have guests?)

JudysPriest · 04/09/2014 17:17

Ex used to do this. Looked like a toddler.

cherrybombxo · 04/09/2014 17:19

protective arse cloths

Hahahaha Grin

mamalino · 04/09/2014 17:25

FreeFoofing Grin

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 04/09/2014 17:31

Oh my god. I just couldn't fuck a man who did this. Ladyboner killer.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 04/09/2014 17:32

We need an MN dictionary, we really do.

Sleepy aardvark
Frank n beans
Freebollocks
Freeboobing
Roompants
Starfish
Penisy
Poo crumbs
Donald ducking

And more!

TheRealNightsWatch · 04/09/2014 17:37

I'm going to be eternally grateful when my DH try's to be hilariously funny by pulling his pj bottoms up so the waistband is hugging his nips and his meat and two veg are splayed out like road kill in the groin area.

That beats the pant less look any day!

Sallyingforth · 04/09/2014 17:41

(Out of curiosity, do you remove the protective arse cloths from your sofas when you have guests?)

Usually they get whipped off as part of the general tidying up when guests are expected. I think we all tend to chuck things behind the sofa to make the room look more respectable.

olivespickledonions · 04/09/2014 17:44

My husband dries his tackle with a hair dryer too. He does his hair then, legs like a tripod, angles down to blow his bits.
