Hi all,
As you’ve probably seen, Mumsnet has been Raging Against the Screen for the past year, after parents told us they feel increasingly powerless in the face of addictive social media designed to keep children hooked. We’ve been working hard to keep the spotlight on this issue in the media, with policymakers, and in Parliament, because we think it matters enormously.
Right now, as the government considers a ban on social media for under-16s, we’re working on a new campaign to highlight the damage it’s doing to children and to encourage politicians to act. And we need your help.
If you’re aged 18–30 and feel that growing up with social media had a lasting negative impact on your mental health or body image, and you’d be open to talking to us about it, we’d love to hear from you. There’s absolutely no commitment at this stage. We’d simply welcome a chat to see whether you might like to be involved.
You can message us at [email protected] or reply below and we’ll be in touch.
Thanks,
Justine
