Hi there,

As you may know, our Publish Parental Leave campaign began in 2019 in response to concerns from Mumsnetters that asking about maternity leave policies at interview would jeopardise their chances of employment. 84% of you told us that employers’ parental leave policies are important when applying for a job, but two thirds of you told us you've avoided asking about parental leave policies at the interview stage for fear of being discriminated against.

We think being upfront about maternity, paternity and adoption leave policies is a simple way for employers to tackle the gender pay gap, allow potential employees to make informed decisions about their future, and attract and retain talent. Over on Twitter/X, we're marking International Women's Day by calling out some of the companies that refuse to share this information. Please do help us out by sharing our tweets - you can find them here, and there's more info about the campaign here.

Thanks,
MNHQ
