Hi there,
Over the years, we've witnessed many Mumsnet users sharing their experiences with maternity and postnatal care, revealing the lasting effects on their well-being. Our recent survey, coinciding with the launch of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Birth Trauma, highlighted that a significant 79% of mothers have encountered birth trauma.
The All-Party Parliamentary Group on birth trauma, led by Theo Clarke MP and Rosie Duffield MP, has initiated an inquiry to explore the reasons behind traumatic births and to formulate policy recommendations for reducing the rate of birth trauma. This inquiry provides a platform for women to share their experiences and contribute their thoughts on future measures. Your input is invaluable in highlighting what needs to change in maternity care to ensure all mums get the support they need and deserve.
You can contribute to the Call for Evidence here, with the closing date for submissions set for Tuesday, 6th February.
Thanks,
MNHQ.
