Mumsnet founder puts users’ questions to Chancellor Rishi Sunak

As you may have heard if you’re one of the 200 Mumsnet users who posted on this thread yesterday with a question for the Chancellor Rishi Sunak, Mumsnet founder Justine went to the Treasury yesterday to grill the Chancellor.

We had so many brilliant questions and we wish we could have asked them all but we chose a selection that we thought best represented the topics raised - from economic policy and inequality to women's rights and from the Chancellor's tax affairs to childcare.

@JuliaMumsnet I only found this thread because if a Daily Fail article that popped up on Google so advanced searched. Without the pinned posts visible at the top if active (since the platform move) how am I meant yo keep track of everything you guys are up to?

Thank you for the transcript. I do understand why it was done this way, and kudos to Mumsnet for getting in so many news publications with this.

It felt very like an early bid for the PM job, lots of "relatability", which is hard to find. I thought his answer on financial choices was fairly good but didn't reflect on the horror of choices facing many families at the minute.

We are glad to report Baby Lemonswan was born yesterday happy and healthy and we are settling in with our boy for our first evening at home.

Such a fantastic experience and we have to send our praises to the NHS for their care - it really is filled with such fantastic people! ☺️
