I realise this campaign is about stopping advertising within media who promote xenophobic and hateful views.
But equally I’d strongly prefer not to see such titles and spinoffs advertised on mumsnet.

I completely agree. It's not a good look for Mumsnet.

It must be to encourage us to take up Premium membership? Hmm

Glad I’m not alone.
I hoped mumsnet wouldnt respond by saying ‘take premium’ but I wasn’t so cynical sauvignon! Hope you’re not right.

How does the insight stuff work with premium anyhow?

So many of the questions involve ‘have you seen such and such advert on mumsnet?’

It doesn’t matter that there is an overlap in demographics; there is a principle that advertising an engine of hate speech is wrong.

I don't think that any media source is without bias. Moreover, a healthy society needs a mix of media platforms.

I used to hate the Daily Mail, but they have redeemed themselves to me somewhat with their coverage on women's rights issues. As Mumsnet is a predominantly woman-centerd forum, it makes sense that they're partnered with a newspaper that enables women to give their opinions freely.

I could not agree more! I've stayed away from MN for a long time because I thought it had too many tie ups with products, shops, media - I work in advertising and see how these tie ups can be good but also very, very bad particularly when the come from a hugely credible source like MN
