Schools funding - MNHQ what can we do?

Is there any way Mumsnet can get behind the fairfundingforallschools.org campaign? With 98% of schools set to face budget cuts, this must be something we all feel strongly about?

Bumping.

Kingston and Richmond school heads had sent a letter out last year to all parents. Since then a small group of parents set up an online petition as well as setting up a local Public Meeting to inform parents of the impact of these funding cuts. The meeting will take place Monday 13 March, 8pm, at Burlington Junior School, Burlington Road, New Malden, with 4 speakers from two of the local headteacher's; a local MP and a member from FairFundingforschools.
We hope that this meeting will be well attended as well as encourage other local areas across the country to act NOW in getting the government to listen to educators, parents and children for what will impact on the future generation of this country.

Let's get behind this, please. Our kids will suffer and there are so many jobs on the line, all that experience will leak out of the schools plus push these families into financial hardship.

The cuts are devastating and widespread, we need to make some noise!
