Campaign to ' Screen Blood for vCJD'

As many mumsnetters know blood is not screened for vCJD, over 5000 people have now received letters from the DOH advising them that they may have been exposed to vCJD through medical/blood procedures, this cannot be right, the government have a test which can screen every individual for vCJD unless this test is put into use we will never stop the spread of this horrendous incurable disease, so please join me and many other people and sign the screen blood for vCJD petition, we need at least 1000 signatures, here is the link:

I do hope the last poster signed the petition, I think anyone having a medical procedure in this country has to be concerned about this issue, we are not told the facts when we go into hospital or see our dentist, this petition has been set up by a relative of a young man aged just 21 who died from vCJD recently and many people who have been affected have signed it. Lets hope it reaches its target and the new test is introduced without further delay.
