I suspect this posting is in the wrong place but I'm new to this site - so my apologies. Do you think that the VAT increase should have been applied to the cost of extensions for disabled persons? I think the VAT legislation is overdue for a rethink - way out of date. It is appalling that so much of the disabled facilities grant goes back to the Government by way of VAT instead of going towards other facilities which are zero-rated. Does Mumsnet feel they could support a campaign for a review of the legislation?
