How to deal with this situation?

My twins are 3 1/2 and we are just starting to get party invitations from pre school. Luckily up til now they have been invited together. However DS came back with an invite to a party this Sunday and DD didn't.

I know DS would love to go but DD would be really upset, not that she is particularly sensitive but she hates to think she is missing out! Therefore doing something else with her at the same time wouldn't work.

What do you do in this situation?

let DS go!
not fair to make him miss out just becasue his sister isn't invited.

I've always tried to treat my DTs as separate individuals - they still sometimes cut up about one being invited somewhere and the other not but understand that they sometimes get invited with the other doesn't. Think it's a good reason for separating twins at school if possible.
