How many weeks were your triplets born at?

Hi everyone - I'm 20 weeks pregnant with triplets and (thank goodness, touch wood etc) everything seems to be going well so far, all 3 babies are the same or larger at this stage than DD1. We've been having very regular scans and checks but haven't really discussed the birth yet - I guess because it's still early, other than the fact that it'll be a c-section, and that the babies will be born at anything between 30 and 34/35 weeks. I'm 6 foot tall, so am hoping there'll be lots of space for them to grow and therefore stay inside for as long as possible. I know a few people with twins, but nobody with triplets. May I ask please, when were your triplets born and were they natural delivery or c-section please?

I know several sets of triplets as run our local twins club (twin mummy myself)

One at 29 wks
Couple at about 33 wks
One at about 35 wks

They all went into labour and had an emergency c-section!

All healthy and happy, 2 of the sets were breastfed!!! (the latest and the earliest!!)

Good luck with it

Hi Cakebuddy, hope you are well and enjoying things! Mine were delivered by c section at 32 weeks and 2 days as baby number 3 had stopped growing. They were 4.2oz, 4.7oz, and 2.15oz! James my tiny one went into an incubator to keep him warm, the other two went into an open cot in SCUBA, none of them needed help in anyway, and after just over 3 weeks they all came home and I haven`t sat down since! They will be 12 in Jan, cannot believe how quickly the time has gone. Have a lovely pic on my profile if you want a peek Good luck and enjoy, its special xx

Hiya, my gorgeous girlie trio have just turned 9yrs old. I had them at exactly 28wks, weighing 2lb 7oz, 2lb 2oz and 2lb 5oz. Perfect weights for their gestation. Had an Em C-section, cos I was in full blown labour. I know lots of triplet Mums. Most had their babies between 34 and 37 wks. Good luck with everything, as you say your height may allow the extra room for them to get really big. Take it easy :)

Triplets I nanny for were planned section at 30 weeks as smallest had stopped growing. All were around 1lb. The smallest was ventilated, transfused and spent 5.5mo in scbu, another spent 3 months and had chest drain and various ailments, other was fine and home after I think a month??

All well now, nearly 11 months and the biggest has just hit a centile Smile

Good luck with yours!

Ooooh goodie, more triplets! My trio (bgb) will be 12 in March. They were born at 33wks2days weighing 3lb1/2oz, 3lb4oz and 3lb1oz. They stayed in SCBU for 3 weeks to learn to maintain their body temp and to feed then came home. None have them have issues from being premature. They're now very loud, big and have attitudes you wouldn't believe. I love preteens. No, really, I do. ;)

Sorry, I have just found my original thread, and now a year later I suppose I should probably update on the birth weights of my three gorgeous bundles - I say that now they're 10 months old and I'm JUST beginning to get my head around being a triplet mummy!! Goodness knows why it's taken me so long to find time to post..... Hmm

They were born at 1.3kg (2.9lbs), 1.6kg (3.5lbs) and 1.9kg (4.2lbs). They were born at 32w2d by c-section, it was a little bit sooner than hoped but littlest girl decided it was time to escape and my waters broke in the middle of the night. And she hasn't stopped being a little tinker ever since! Grin
