Did your twins share a cot?

If your twins did share a cot:

1. how long were they able to share for?
2. how did you position them?

Mine shared until they were about 4 months. They are now 9 years old and will often be found squashed into one bed together.

My ID (MoMo) twin boys are still young (29 weeks), they share a co-sleeper side by side, swaddled separately, on their sides with heads touching, they refuse to settle otherwise.

We'll be moving them to the same cot when they grow too big for the co-sleeper as they hate sleeping apart. I'll probably swaddle until they can get themselves out of it or refuse it.

I kept the girls in separate cots. They slept in a cot together for one night but they had angelcare monitors so I moved them into their own cots

this was all useful reading for me, my twin girls are four days old so its great to hear from all you other twin mums. By the way, you're all amazing.

Mine were side by side in a cot until 3 months, but by the end they kept getting their arms stuck in between the bars. They're now in separate cots and seem much happier (especially as they're no longer able to hit each other when they wake up!)

We had a cotbed, with one side off, pushed up to my side of the bed so I could feed them without a fuss at night.
They slept in it like this for about 6 months.
If one woke up and had trouble dropping back off, the other would sometimes pat them off to sleep for us!
They used to cuddle up to each other a lot.
It was very cute.
