20 week scan results

Hi - we went for our 20 week scan today and were told that one of the twins had low amniotic fluid - we are very concerned. Additionally, the same twins head is apparently more oval shaped than it should be, although they said this may be because it is in the breech position with its head under my ribcage. Both of these things together are concerning us and wondered if anyone out there had similar experience?

Sorry can't give you any specific advise to be honest - did they tell what this could mean and if they can do anything about it?

No, they had no answers. Initially they said they would do another scan in 2 weeks, but I asked for one sooner and now have one in 4 days. Took blood for various tests, but they seemed unsure. The twin concerned had 1.6 cm of amniotic fluid - just wondered if anyone knew/experienced a similar level of fluid in their pregnancy

Again - no specific advice

But answering as I had the opposite problem. One of the DTs had too much amniotic fluid. We had all sorts of doom and gloom predictions from he doctors but in the end everything was fine - I got to 35 weeks before my waters broke and baby was fine.

Hang in there - ask lots of questions of your doctors and check the pregnancy message boards.

Hopefully it will just be one of those weird things.
