Remembering Gareth.........sweet dreams, party on xxxxxx. Shabs, never a dull moment for you dear Did you find the swimmers?

Momma, I still can't get an email to you........ and thats my excuse for not sending photos BTW, that dress!!! Cor Gorgeous!!! Are you thinking of a small 'do'? Do you need a crinkly old maid bridesmaid? I've never been a bridesmaid, or a bride for that matter. I hereby offer my services as witness and promise not to flamenco up the aisle.

PAZZA, where art thou?

Mars, I was a vaginal girl for my singleton and my DTs. The singleton was a little traumatic as it was so damn fast and I had a student in charge of me (unknown to me!!!!) but the DTs birth was heavenly. I did end up with an epidural as DT2 was breech and there were concerns. In the end they both came out the bottom door and I had a great night that night. My DTs will be 4 next week!!!! I would be perfectly happy to have email chat.

my DTs are going to be 4!!! I am so very, very broody. I must wait my time though.

oooggs · 21/07/2008 15:46

Mars all 3 of mine were vaginally (but epidurals) dts birth was fantastic - if that helps let me know and I will email you

{smile] for shabs and Gareth

HarrogateMum · 21/07/2008 16:26

Shabs - thoughts for you and Gareth today. See you on the other side when you get linked up again!

FG - erm, you have my email address. PHOTOS NOW PLEASE!! Its the least I deserve after babysitting the round up!

And Mars - all 3 of mine also, plus did you SEE my 10 reasons to visit Harrogate!!??

frumpygrumpysooksgin · 21/07/2008 16:28

I meant Stingo!

piximon · 21/07/2008 18:48

Mars - I'm always happy to chat to another mum, (you have all my details) have managed all 5 out that way so far.

Having said that only DD1s home birth was heavenly. DS1 I was really uptight and didn't relax or do as told. DS3 was marred by the chest infection and required epidural but was relatively smooth sailing (apart from the problems breathing). DTs was fine, although did go down the epidural route as SPD so bad I was confined to bed. Let me know if I can be of any help.

Can't help I'm afraid, was obliged by pre-eclampsia to get mine out the front door ( FG). Tho if someone - anyone - wants to ring me I'm happy to talk to them anyway.

My thoughts for Shabs + Gareth. x

estar · 21/07/2008 20:39

Frumpy, if your DTs are four next week....that means they'll be going to school this time....which means partial freedom for you in only six weeks time! Is it true?

Mine also go in September, but I was foolish enough to produce another child in the meatime, so no such freedom for me.

And I think Mars' go this time - and DingDong's?

Anyone else?

Are we planning a party then, come September 2nd??

largeginandtonic · 21/07/2008 20:42

I will talk to her Mars. Have popped a few out now, not all plain sailing but i will only tell her about the nice ones.

Come here for a visit Mars, am around first 2 weeks of August. We are next to the beach.

MERLYPUSS · 21/07/2008 20:51

Thinking of Shabby on Gareths day xx

piximon · 21/07/2008 21:29

pixi sighs at not being everyone enough to hear momma's plans.

tkband3 · 21/07/2008 21:35

Thinking of you Shabby on Gareth's remember day. Hope the move has gone well.

Mars, not sure I'll be any use - DTs came out the sunroof . DD1 was the bottom door (to coin FG's phrase), but only after 2 days of full dose of induction drugs, plus epidural, plus ARM, plus syntocinon, plus ventouse - probably not the positive story your lady wants/needs .

Well, tomorrow is DD1's op. We have to be at the hospital at 7.30am , as she is first on the list. So on the plus side, not too long without food before she goes down and not too much waiting around either. She's being very brave bless her, but I know I won't be in the morning. Nurse told me last week that only one parent can be with her when she goes to theatre and when she wakes up, so DH will do the first bit and I will meet her in recovery. Not looking forward to it at all (but who would?), but hoping it will all be straightforward and we will be home for tea.

Oh Momma, my mum is exactly the same - couldn't keep a secret if her life depended on it. Also has an annoying habit of imparting my news as if it were her own, so I ring people to tell them something important and they already know . But she is here to look after DTs tomorrow, despite a v. dodgy knee, so I bite my tongue as much as I can. Have you set the date? Are you allowed to tell us? (obviously we won't tell a soul ).

estar · 21/07/2008 21:55

Oh, TKB. Big hugs, kisses and prayers for your gorgeous little girl tomorrow. Deep breaths, hugs, and prayers for you too. Will be thinking of you all day xxxxxxxxxxx

MarsLady · 21/07/2008 22:20

Right.. so if I can get my clients to give birth on time the DTs and I will be travelling the country.

We'll have a weekend in Harrogate, one in Plymouth (that is where you are isn't it lg&t?), one in Devon and I wonder if we should fly up to Scotland?

Good job I have a family railcard

Shabs...........thinking of you today and your sweet little man, hope today hasnt been too much of a drama, hope youll find happiness there xxx

Shabs just spent the last 3 hours in a freezing field with Harrys cousin and her fella, they are camping, live in Wigan and know Farnworth well!! I am sat there with 16 fleeces on, they have shorts and vest tops on, and must think I am a jessie!! Foolishly (after downing 3 large Tio Pepes here before I left) I have invited them for a bbq on Weds, H was in bed when me and the kids got back so havent told him yet!

triplets · 21/07/2008 22:41

And whats wrong with Deal Marsy?

MERLYPUSS · 21/07/2008 22:43

Or Tescotown ?

triplets · 21/07/2008 22:44

Ooooooooooo I can get a free bus to Tescos

piximon · 21/07/2008 23:18

TKB love and thoughts for your DD1 tomorrow.

Mars are you going to the sling show in London on Sunday? You might pick up some bargains for your collection. I really wanted to go to find a sling suitable for carting a DT around in but just don't think I'm up to it.

accordiongirl · 21/07/2008 23:25

TKB good luck! So obviously, doh, it being the girl going in for it, it's not related to an undescended testicle.

Don't get the thing about one parent at a time, we were both allowed to go in, only DP had berd off back to work by the time he came out the other end. Actually, that was this time, with the testical op - the first time round, the time with the hernia, it was just me as he went in and just me as he came out as well.

Anyway, very good idea to give DP the going-in bit, that's much worse in my book, just feels all wrong and wierd when you see them pass out. I had dark thoughts at that point.... We were first on the list too. That's good as well. The recovery side of things is lots of cuddling and loving - normal stuff! This time round, he woke up all tearful and then went back to sleep for an hour or two, and then when he came up again the second time, the thing that really perked him up was apple juice from a BOX with a STRAW! Very exciting for him, but he was only 15 months old at the time. Anyway, it perked him up and then we could go home.

But very good luck tomorrow, take stuff for an overnight stay just in case and then of course they'll let you come home.
