Hi girls

I just did a search on Neeerly's name to see how the scan went, and found a post from Estar a few days ago saying I had been MIA (computer at home broken so not been on this week, but have been off this thread for a while longer as struggle to keep up ), and anyway Estar goes on to say that i look like Jodi Picoult!!! How I laughed, my DS1 (2.5) looks at my JP books and points at her pic and says "mummy!". Although on one her books he thinks it is Auntie Lucy (my sis) and not mummy.

Anyway, hope all is well, I still didn't see how Neeerly's scan went on Tuesday so now have to go back and have a look, and look at rest of thread to see how you are all getting on.

Motivated by Mars, I've updated some pics of my dcs.

Oh fiddlesticks(better than the other f word)
I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo fed up. H went off at 8am and ret`d at 6pm. The bad news is no chemo, they scanned and found a blood clot in the picc line, so have had to take the line out. They then tried to insert a new line into the other arm, made 2 puncture wounds and failed. So, they cannot give him an appt to fit a new line until the 11th Aug which is disgusting, chemo then resumes on the 14th, which means we are 6 weeks behind, also not sure how detrimental that will be. On top of all that as its a clot he has to self inject himself daily for the next 3 months!!! As I have a real phobia about needles it is making me feel sick already to see a box of sharps on my loo shelf. Then this evening the kids godmother who lives 2 doors away was also told today she has bowel cancer, I just cannot believe it. Today was also the funeral of my friends daughter who commited suicide last week. What a truly horrible day. Oh on a minor note I took the boys kite flying this afternoon, and Tom Toms kite took off over the sea, just like Matthews once did. Oh I need a holiday.

Lots of lovely photos. I lurve photos.
Trips - you are having a poo time of it all aren't you? xx
We had the paddling pool out today. Thomas wailed like a banshee but Isaac loved it. (Thomas has excema on his chest and was really hot and ratty). They will be SIX MONTHS TOMORROW !! Never thought I would get here (relatively) unscathed.

piximon · 30/07/2008 22:32

Momma, i sent you some texts over the weekend, basically looking for advice on how to stop Prince getting so distracted during feeds. Obviously there's plenty to distract him here! He's also taken to pinching/scratching me during feeds. I gave up feeding dd1 at this age when she started the same as she took to snacking and started loosing weight. No plans to stop with Prince so any advice?

Trips, you're going through so much at the mo. Anything we can do to help lift your spirits?

triplets · 30/07/2008 22:49

Hi Pixi, bless you, I will be ok, just been an exceptionally rotten time, made twice as hard with three 10yr old off for 6 weeks! Becca is out on a sleep over tonight so I have just snuck my pillows into her room and am so looking forward to sleeping on my own, but the bonus is I can sit up and read!! H always goes to bed before me and so I can`t have the light on to read, and I am struggling with the latest book club book, Possession by A S Byatt, far to intellectual for me.

triplets · 30/07/2008 23:30

Its no good I have to get to bed, very tired today, night night all, night night Shabs, really must crank up Radio Ga Ga

shabster · 31/07/2008 00:55

OMG Trips - DH says he wishes we had a million pounds and he would give it to you to hopefully cure your DH. We feel helpless and useless.

We have to get on here and do our Radio Ga Ga xxxx

My song to you Trips - every word of this says how I feel about you

shabster · 31/07/2008 07:56

Morning girls - everybody happy?

Leoloopydoo · 31/07/2008 09:07

Hi all, quick one here, but in between work today I am going to try to catch up a bit....!

Pixi, how are you? Last time I checked in you were feeling burnt out.

I resigned my job yesterday... I am going to be a SAHM and I am really happy and excited about it ! ....have to work out 3 months notice though !

MarsLady · 31/07/2008 09:36

Lovely pics Pixi. They really are growing.

A flying visit as I have DTs to see today and a client trying to go into labour.

Love and kisses to you all.

Hi everyone,

Well I had my scan yesterday at Kings and all went well. I was there for 6 hours in all and they were truely fantastic. They have confirned that the twins are not downs and that they are in seperate sacs. They are going scan me again in 3 weeks time to check for TTTS. There is no sign of it at this stage thank goodness.

MarsLady · 31/07/2008 10:23

FANTASTIC news!!!!!!!!

shabster · 31/07/2008 10:35

So, so thrilled for you pop - what wonderful news. You must be on cloud nine

piximon · 31/07/2008 11:21

Brill news pop.

Leo - I'm still down but putting brave face on and trying to get on with things best I can. Am taking steps to sort problems out though.

FG sent the dcs the most wonderful huge box of goodies. DS1/DD1 have been playing for 3 hrs non stop with barely a row! DTs wore themselves out with the excitement and went for a nap without a squeak. Thanks FG. With your blessing I'll pass the smaller bits to Momma.

Mars - DCs are growing so big (except dd1 who can still fit into 18-24mth clothes and will be 4 in sept!)

Are companies making children's clothes bigger these days? The clothes I had saved from ds1 are smaller in size than anything bought for ds2 in the same age ranges, even though from same shops.

Right so we didn't get the big house, back to trawling the net for something else.

piximon · 31/07/2008 12:54

Momma - are you feeling better today?

I heard from Doris! Had a card through the post to say she's busy and misses all of us. Hoping to see her one of these days.

No sign of Tigger...

piximon · 31/07/2008 12:58

happy birthday chops!

shabster · 31/07/2008 13:01

Chops the duck - have a good 'un!!! 21 today?xxxx
