What stuff to double up on for twins?

We are expecting twins in the autumn and are thinking about what we need. We have a toddler already, and had obviously planned to reuse car seat pram etc, but with twins we will obviously need some extra stuff. Beside a double pram and another car seat, what stuff did you double up on? We're thinking a second bouncy seat, but not sure about a second carrier. Was there stuff you doubled up on and didn't really use?

Two high chairs eventually, sling that can be used for toddler or a twin so mix and match who goes in buggy can share a cot at first but need second one eventually (toddler may be in a bed by then). People may buy matching clothes but not necessarily can use toddlers stuff
Need lots of bottles and dummies if you use them (even with the best intentions v difficult to bf twins with a toddler)

Definitely second bouncer was a life saver for me.
I also had a toddler when I had twins so reused most things.
I had one cotbed which they shared for 22 months.
I did borrow an extra moses basket so I could have one upstairs and one down.
Definitely a second highchair, car seat and reins (you cant run in different directions they were a necessity just to get from the car to the front door)!
1 sling was very useful.
A bigger car.
I did end up buying an extra few basic clothes (vests, baby grows, bibs etc) just so I wasn't washing as often.
A rucksack is useful instead of a baby bag (means you've got your hands free).
I managed to bf however that was difficult to discreetly do while out in public so I expressed and bottle fed one while bf the other so bottles/sterilising equipment which I hadn't had with dc1.
The most important thing I'd say is think about the type of pushchair you buy. Where will you be going? How heavy is it? Will you need to fit a buggy board? I lived in a village and shops had single narrow doorways so a tandem was easier. You'll need to get out for your own sanity so having a suitable pushchair is useful.

This is so helpful, thanks! Oh yes we will have reins - toddler is a runner as it is, will be upgrading her reins to a stronger set!! Bigger car already sorted. We have a fair few gender neutral babygros from toddler - we knew we'd like a second so deliberately didn't buy too much girly stuff. Just didn't plan on twins! But maybe will get some more so the washing machine isn't on 24/7. I'm sure people will buy us some stuff as well, but don't expect as much as first time round (though maybe they will out of sympathy!).

I BF'd with first one, and intend to this time round, but a twin mum friend said consider using bottles as well so that DH can share the nights in particular - he is a SAHD so wont need to get up for work in the same way. With DD, I found BF easier than middle of the night bottles, didn't have to get out of bed. I think we will see how we go with twins.

Did you have twins in one moses basket, or 2 upstairs? Or a double next2me?

Bouncer, sleepyhead, high chair, play mat (we only had one and it was definitely too small for both of them).

My twins shared a full sized cot til five months old, then moved into separate cots.

We had them sharing one travel cot for the first few months, cheaper than twin next to me, then into separate cots.
2 baby bouncers for sure.
Twin feeding pillow, good for bottle feeding and breastfeeding.
Lots of baby bottles.
Two high chairs
Don't need two of anything else though, I don't think
