If it is catching, I'm going into hiding! I reckon it will be fg's turn next.

Everything is getting into gear round here for ascot races - which means I am going to be pretty much housebound for the week. I will prob take them over to see some of the races, but the forecast isn't good. Tis fun giggling and the ladies sliding around in the mud though.

Thats what I said on my 40th birthday when I took my little vat of wee to the doctors to do a pregnancy test

We are never safe Rubester - never

ChopsTheDuck · 13/06/2008 12:54

oh I remember that feeling 3 years ago - 'we will never fall into the 2% who fall pregnant using the diaphram'

Be afraid oh Mighty Rubester - be very afraid

tkband3 · 13/06/2008 13:16

Well that hurt A LOT. Good thing I'd taken a couple of nurofen before I left otherwise I'd have been in agony. So that's what childbirth feels like . 3 children and barely a contraction to show for it, then I get a coil fitted and need to remember the breathing techniques I learnt 5 years ago, with the practice nurse letting me squeeze her hand!!

Think it's an afternoon of High School Musical, popcorn and sofa-rest at our house today - if the girls will let me that is .

MarsLady · 13/06/2008 13:18

Ouch!

tkband3 · 13/06/2008 13:21

Thank Mars

Btw Mars, my lot are asking when they can see yours again...will text you to arrange tea round here soon.

MarsLady · 13/06/2008 13:22

DT1 keeps saying... when can we see the girls? And DT2 replies... no not girls. Boys!!!!!

tkband3 · 13/06/2008 13:37

Aw bless him. He didn't seem to mind too much though! How did you get on at the ENT yesterday?

MarsLady · 13/06/2008 13:39

Apparently he has grown out of glue ear and what he needs is speech therapy. His hearing is perfect.

The consultant (my friend) said that he's compensated for the initial lack of hearing and so speaks like a child with limited hearing so he needs to relearn the words. Sigh... He's sent a referral letter to my GP who will get him a speech therapist.

Right... too much to do and no time! Kisses xx

estar · 13/06/2008 13:42

Afternoon ladies.

TKB - ouch .

We have decided that when enough is enough, it will be DH going for the treatment, not me. C'mon ladies, we go through enough painful medical procedures getting them out, don't we? We can't make up our minds yet though, so we'll have to wait and see...

(hmm, think the last two times we said that, I was up the duff within a few months....)

Congrats to M/Neee(r)ly!

And oooggs - I think I missed that, congrats too!

estar · 13/06/2008 13:45

Oooo Mars - that's just like my DT2! By the time he had a hearing test, they said it was fine but has obviously previously been blocked, so we are going through the SLT now - privately, can you believe it, because the waiting list locally is sooooo long. So if you see me hopping around missing an arm and a leg, that'll be why.
