I can't believe there were 6 pages to catch up on since I posted last night. DH had to take the laptop to work today, so this is the first chance I've had to catch up.

Tigs, you are one brave lady, with strength and dignity shining through.

Sex and the City was great - there were a few weepie bits though, so I was glad I'd taken a tissue . Oh and a huuuuuge bag of maltesers .

FG, you probably don't even remember posting this last night, but I walked down the (very short, register office) aisle to the muse cover of that song. Unfortunately the aisle was so short, the intro was barely over and I'd reached the front .

Hi and welcome to the madhouse MrsBakersGirl.

I did things the other way round to you Neeerly - DD1 was 20 months when the DTs were born. Initially I had a lot of help from my mum - with DD1 at nursery as well, I was very rarely on my own with all 3. I was talking to someone today about the early days and remembered the absolute low point - we moved house when the DTs were 10 months old; we were further away from my mum so she didn't come to help as often, DH was working mad hours, I hadn't found a nursery for DD1 yet, DTs were waking up about 1.30am every night and not settling again without me - I'd end up on a sofa-bed in their room, trying to sleep sitting up with one either side of me, and DD1 was really ill and we didn't know what was wrong with her. I don't quite know how we got through it but we did - you just do don't you, because there's no choice! Sorry, not trying to freak you out at all, but one baby is probably a breeze after having had twins first time round !!

MERLYPUSS · 20/06/2008 22:09

Mrs Baker - my DTs are 5mths too (last thursday)
TIGS - you have balls hun. Good on you.

Just eaten half a tub of hagen daas. Someone convince me its good for me [guilty emoticon]

tkband3 · 20/06/2008 22:12

Well, it's got milk/cream in it, so there's some calcium . And you'll be feeling a whole lot happier because you ate it .

Night Merly - back in a minute girls xxx

piximon · 20/06/2008 23:13

Meely, I'm finding the Bfing so much easier with just the one, honestly, after the first two weeks, I could easily feed him lying down in bed, I just move him (or me) either side for next feed and go back off to sleep. But don't kill yourself over it if you do resort to bottles no worries, happy mummy is the best mummy. With DS1 I gave up BFing and left night time feeds to DH. I'm not good with little sleep. If I can give any advice etc just shout me (loud please) . Best advice is just to remember how short the time really is. Feels like forever for those first early days but it's just a matter of weeks in reality before they grow up and sleep for much longer.

I'm really loving (and making the most of) being so close to DS3 with no guilt over having another baby missing out etc so I'm more relaxed despite being under more pressure than ever. DTs early days passed in a stress filled blur so I want to enjoy this time. I'm having my implant this week so no more DCs for at least three years for me.

Right I'm off to bed with DS3, he usually has a feed at 11 and is getting grouchy.

How has your day been?

triplets · 20/06/2008 23:25

Is it only 8 more sleeps? 3 for the kids before they go off to the IOW
Hang on b----y cat screaming!

triplets · 20/06/2008 23:29

Well we spent an excitng 3 hours at Margate hospital, H got a call late yesrday asking him to go for a CT scan, we knew they were going to arrange one, but not alot of notice. Poor thing had to have a dye injected into him, made him feel all whoozy. Nothing but hospitals atm, got home to a letter another appt on the 30th, 17th and blood tests, chemo, picc line flushing and Gladys clinic in between!My....how life has changed!

triplets · 20/06/2008 23:31

So next week apart from the district nurse on Frid, no kids, we are off to Cornwall on Mon for some R&R!!

shabster · 20/06/2008 23:33

Yes we go 1 week tomorrow. I quite simply cant wait...I will miss my family but it is very simple to keep in touch thanks to the internet. Do you mind if I give Dan and Em your contact details? Just thought it may help them if they get in a bit of a pickle.

Em has had a bad day. They took Lewis to Dans works to show him off. It is very warm in there!! She has lost a bit of confidence like all new mums and thinks she is fat - I think it was all too much for her. She just texted me and said 'I want to do everything I did before Lewis came along and I cant cause I still dont feel very well. I feel a failure' I just replied that I didnt know a mum who has not felt like that at one time or another. Poor sweetheart....she is an absolute delight and I love her like my own daughter. xxxx

shabster · 20/06/2008 23:36

That sounds lovely Trips - we took the twins to Mousehole with my mum and dad when they were about 5 months old....that seems like someone elses story and someone elses babies Also seems like about 100 years ago.

triplets · 20/06/2008 23:40

Oh bless her Shabs, its only 12 days since she had Lewis and a c section, no sleep, been there worn the T shirt!! Please give them my number, this is when distance is a bugger! We all know its normal, but it feels huge when you are young and everything is new. Its been quite a week on here hasnt it? Read darling Tiggers post, she has some guts that girl, bloody brave, I cant imagine being as strong at that age. She is doing the right thing, and I am over the moon that she has found happiness!! Go for it Tigs xx

triplets · 20/06/2008 23:42

I know what you mean, you and I have had 2 lives already, and you don`t even like cats

triplets · 20/06/2008 23:43

Where is Mars lately.............she hasn`t proferred her ample bobos to me for ages

shabster · 20/06/2008 23:45

I am so proud of Tiggs - I kind of guessed a lot of things that she mentioned...just from reading her posts and emails...I would love to meet her she is so 'tiggerlike'.

Em was only in hospital for 3 days - in my opinion that is too short a stay. She is a nursery nurse but that means nothing when the baby is your own does it? Having your first baby especially is so overwhelming, everyone else seems to know what they are doing. They are doing a wonderful job with Lewis...he is growing by the hour. I am sure she will be just wonderful and will look back and think how hard it was and how she knows what she is doing now.

shabster · 20/06/2008 23:46

Terrified of cats really, really terrified.

shabster · 20/06/2008 23:51

Think I will invite them down for their dinner - sorry lunch - tomorrow. Em loves a buffet - will put all her favourite nibbles on. Encourage her to have a nap maybe? I think it is hard for her - she thinks I know exactly what I am doing with babies and she keeps saying 'I dont know how you have coped with everything you are so brave' well, no I am not brave I am stubborn and I will always cope. I think I will write her a letter - telling her the absolute truth..that I still feel a useless mum at times etc etc.

shabster · 20/06/2008 23:54

In a Tamla Motown mood

triplets · 21/06/2008 00:00

Sorry Shabs, slap my wrist for not paying attention!!
Just been on ebay, looking for WW2 stuff.
As you know I have too much time on my hands atm, kids came home from (as you say) piggin school today, on the 7/8 th July they have to go dressed as WW2 evacuees, with gas masks if poss, little cases, and a pillow case with a photo, letter from Mummy, fruit, but not oranges or bananas, packed lunch of the day, spam etc, teddy bear labelled etc etc...............all this x`s 3!!!

triplets · 21/06/2008 00:02

Shabs, d`y think Em is panicking because you are going away?
