You are honoured Frumpster - he hates texting - he got me to check that he had spelt everything right

We decided we are going to paint the town bright pink on Matts 24th birthday - it is the 30th June. Thinking of going up into the village (where all the locals live) to their taverna.....ouzo, retsina, lamb stew, kebabs, greek salad, feta cheese etc etc....smash a few plates and dance on the tables.

Then do it all again on the 9th July for Nikos' 25th birthday and in honour of Matthew (Triplets son) who shares the same special day.

I cant wait. [snogs emoticon] to you Frumpster

Neeerly3 · 20/06/2008 19:11

hi all - dh is still at work in MK (2hrs away) so stealing a few hours surfing!

Luckily boys fell asleep in car on way home from tesco so I lifted them to bed and thats where they stayed!

Any tips on getting rid of bloating? I have a pot belly making me look about 4 months pregs and no energy to keep sucking it in - folk will start talking soon!

HarrogateMum · 20/06/2008 19:19

evening all....anyone up to anything exciting tonight? I've just put a potato and leek and bacon bake thingy in the oven to go with some chicken....thats the highlight of the day! Been gorgeous weather here today and bad mother that I am, DD got a burnt back as she was outside for half an hour with no top on..........DH has just come home after being in Paris last night.

HarrogateMum · 20/06/2008 19:20

PS - Meeely you will be fine you know with 2 4 year olds and a newborn. I had DD when the DTs were just 2 and it was a struggle for the first 2 months, but once we were into a routine there werent really any issues - more so now that she plays rough and tumble with them!

Neeerly3 · 20/06/2008 19:36

thanks HM, I think I know I will, just the truth is finally dawning on me that I gonna have to do all this come february! eeeek

oooggs · 20/06/2008 20:30

my dts will be 22 mths HM

MrsBakerGirl · 20/06/2008 20:33

Hi! I'm a fairly new twin mum - my boy girl twins were five months this week (were 7 weeks early).I also have a DS who is 7.

I met a group of mumsnetters last night through our local site and one of them told me about the multiple section! Have just spent ages looking through all the threads and found some great tips etc. I think this was the right place to say hello and introduce myself!

Looking forward to chatting.

oooggs · 20/06/2008 20:38

just caught up - well done Tigger x

Neeerly - when db due dts will be 22mths and ds1 just 5. I am also planning to exclusivley bf and will also need a good wrap sling as dts will still be in double pushchair and will need to do the school run.

oooggs · 20/06/2008 20:39

welcome Mrsbakergirl - mad bunch here and we are so nosey

iamdingdong · 20/06/2008 20:41

welcome mrsbakergirl you are in great company as a multiple mum

shabster · 20/06/2008 20:54

Hiya MrsBakergirl - welcome to the mad house

Neeerly3 · 20/06/2008 20:56

welcome bakersgirl, we are all bonkers lovely on here!

Neeerly3 · 20/06/2008 20:56

oh and don't sit down - there's a pregnancy bug going round - have you been 'immunised'?!

piximon · 20/06/2008 20:59

Tigs well done for sharing, I know it's not easy. I'm proud of you. I'm gonna visit you next week RUN.

Meely it'll be fine, my dts were just over 15mths when Prince came along. He has a bit of wear and tear but he's getting through fine, smiley and content. BFing is much easier with just one and I've found it a joy really, even the night feeds didn't seem such a hardship after having the DTs.

LGT - buy a close sling, mine loves his. agree that I'm for feeding, other people for cuddling.

PC about to die, more again tomorrow. x

shabster · 20/06/2008 21:02

Oh Pixie - when you go and see Tiggs - will you give her a massive hug from me? Tell her I am thinking of her and send my love.

Thanks sweetheart.

Neeerly3 · 20/06/2008 21:06

thanks pixi - need lots more positive stories.......DH also helped with the boys nights feeds, so lack of sleep wasn't really a big deal (it never is when you look back on it i guess) - breast feeding may mean i experience a whole new side of the first 6 weeks that i didn't experience before and i might not like it!

I am determined to ENJOY this baby and not just COPE like i did with the boys. i stumbled and clawed my way through almost all of the first 2 years and i REALLY don't want to feel like that again.

shabster · 20/06/2008 21:16

I did exactly the same....pushed myself beyond the limits with the twins, tried my best to breast feed, tried to be a super mum etc etc.

When I had my third son 2 and a half years later I bottle fed him, didn't panic if he had a mucky face. Toys scattered all over the living room floor etc etc etc. It was a joy to have a healthy baby and ONE baby - it felt so easy.......

Cause I then had a 14 yr gap between my 3rd and 4th it was back to striving to be the supermummy again....luckily Tommy doesn't seem to have come to any harm

MrsBakerGirl · 20/06/2008 21:16

Hi Neeerly3 - Will stay standing up forever! It was shock enough for me when I knew it was twins! Wouldn't change it for anything now but still the thought of anymore at mo .................... doesn't bare thinking about!!

Thanks for all your welcomes!

shabster · 20/06/2008 21:18

Im staying out of the way and tightening up my chastity belt...
