I was trying to work that out Trips - my Matthew died in 1992 but I was a member of Compassionate Friends before that because of Gareth. It must be 1994/95 do you think?

I think it must be 95 as Matthew died in 94 but I didn`t find TCF till the following year, have you had a news letter recently?

My mum gets them and then brings them to me. She has one at the moment.

I will send you some photos of Nikos via email - he is, to be honest, delicious to look at and a really good lad. BUT he is 25 on the 9th July - so - younger than Danny!! Never mind you can still look cant you?

Really - your Matthews birthday!!! WOW what a great excuse for another party that night as well!!!! OMG Trips - how great....I will sing a Beatles song for him on karaoke - which one????? Have you heard me I think Im some kind of Diana Ross

Last year DH actually got up and sang. He has a good voice but gets really nervous. He sang 'Delilah' in honour of his dad, my lovely FIL. He was from South Wales and every time he got up to sing in the pub he would sing Delilah. DH got a standing ovation so he was chuffed to bits.

Think this would be good for OUR Matthews

shabster your story is a sad one, both yours and triplets both are, but you both have such amazing humour and kindness about you !!

I feel i have bought a slight sadness to the thread today, so i shall not dwell, today was horrible but tomorrow is a new day....

I shall phone secretaries, make appiontments and go from there.

Nay as we call her is actually very well this evening, chatty, ate her tea, even came in the garden and watched as DD1 thrashed me at a swingball championship (I always lose)

We have only 3 weeks of chemo left (draining continues) and then we are having a party !! one at home and school.

I should post photos on my profile so you can see my brood, and scraggly dog.

Trips good luck for the start of your husbands chemo.

Never think you have brought sadness here sweetheart. It is good to tell our stories...just has been a little while since I did. Every time I read it I am amazed that Im still here

Lydle.............we share tears and laughs on here.......and wine and cake.....talking of which where is that Mars lady lately? Yep Shabs, Matthew will be 29 on the 9th July and that Beatles song you have just picked is sung for him on one of the concerts, we always did a Beatles song at the end! It will be nice to think of you celebrating for me! Fate again you see!

Shabs, Tigs is awful quiet today, is she about?

Think that Nikos is having a party in the 'villarge' (the village about a mile away from the hotel where all the occupants are Greek) we will smash some plates, UMPAH, drink ouzo and eat all the yummy Greek food. I will smash some plates especially for your Matthew.

In the villarge we are known as the Engleesh family who went to Costas' (Nikos' brother) funeral even though they were on holiday. We are not allowed to pay for food, drink or taxis. [sigh emoticon] oh Trips we have found our heaven on earth. You just wait till I win the piggin' lottery xxx

I heard from her this morning but she is very quiet. Will check up on her....I sound like her mum!!! She is a little love. Or, as my Matt would say, a wittle wov.

I`ll get there with you one day Shabs, thats a promise, we can do a double act!

As you both like celebrating, i will save you a choc muffin at nays end of chemo party, also her 9th bday 25th July, we are going to a paint your own pottery place with two friends, her all time FAV thing to do.
