Oh HM, why NOT!!!!! My DP caught an early train and will be home at 9.30pm. I have homemade soup (leek&tattie or carrot&coriander) but he is texting me TAKEAWAY, TAKEAWAY. I told him that is swearing. Then he text me BASTARD. I know why I never married him......because he leads me nutritionally astray.

Momma, I thank you for saying I was eloquent. I truly just spout whatever shit appears on the tips of my fingers and hope for the best. And I thank you. How's work? Still staying ahead of the game and staying cool? Hard week for you. I wonder what it would be like if we all lived local........would we all piss each other off or adore each other madly. MN works because we all speak when each of us is ready.....its not like that in RL. Anyway, if I was there, I'd do a few school runs/nursery runs, do your dishes and even share my leek&tattie soup with you.

LG&T, the problem is ongoing.....I have another counsellor appt on Wednesday. One day, one day, one fine day......

HarrogateMum, is yours a naughty Maddie ??? mine is !!

She doesnt yet walk, as she has ankles that turn in, so saw physio and she now has pink piedro boots - very cute, that she hates !

brucelovesfrumpygrumpy · 16/06/2008 20:31

Lydle, you are most welcome here and don't leave us! BUT, have you started a thread on this? It strikes me that there would be all sorts of lines of thought and support available from a wider MN audience for this particular question.

brucelovesfrumpygrumpy · 16/06/2008 20:39

Hullo! I'm alight. As good as it gets I think the phrase is Going to take my eyes out now and get jamas on and slide the fish fingers into a hot oven.....YUM.

brucelovesfrumpygrumpy · 16/06/2008 21:07

I meant I'm alright, not I'm alight

Neeerly3 · 16/06/2008 21:10

OOOhhhhh!!!!!!! Right, I'm off to do things if no-one is going to indulge me in my favourite pasttime of talking guff

shabster · 16/06/2008 21:39

Lydle - thanks for your information!!!

I didnt know I was having the twins till 10 days before they were born at 38 weeks. I was told that Gareth would not last the first night. Well - he did!! He lived till he was almost 8 months old. I used to ask what would I do if he stopped breathing or if his heart condition worsened. My doctor, bless him, said that would never happen and not to worry. Well - it did.

He died at home between his daddy and me - we were grabbing an extra 10 mins snooze. When we woke up he looked very well, very pink and with a smile on his face. He had died. I have no idea what my answer would have been if the same question had been given to me.

My little boy Matthew was killed by a reversing lorry. When I crawled under the lorry with him I knew he was going to die - no idea how I knew that I just knew. Again I wasn't faced with that question.

I think it would be helpful for you if you wrote down all your worries and questions and actually wrote down their answers next to your questions. I would then mull it over for as long as you need to.

I am a firm believer though in 'ce sera sera' and I have no idea what my final answer would be. I have just read my post back and it hasn't answered your question at all - maybe I should run for Prime Minister cause they dont answer questions either.

I think your meeting the medical staff is the very best thing you could do.

Evening Shabs,
Dh is sitting clamly watching telly, whilst I am chewing my nails over chemo tomorrow! Stage 2 is about to start! Just hoping that he wont feel too pooorly with it, this damn cancer, he has to have chemo which will make him feel ga ga, yet the cancer itself is not bothering him at all ,no symtems. I still cant get my head around it all. He is just off to bed now, I was going to sneak up early and read, blast!!!

triplets · 16/06/2008 22:00

How is our grandbaba today?

shabster · 16/06/2008 22:05

Hiya Trips - deep breathing for tomorrow - and IN and OUT and IN and OUT!!!

our granbaby is just wonderful. Danny has taken loads of photos and is supposed to be emailing them. I have no printer at the moment but I will send you the photos via email as soon as he sends them. Lewis will probably be starting school by then knowing our Danny!!

shabster · 16/06/2008 22:07

Sorry if I dragged everybody down by spilling my guts before....dont know why I have to elaborate on everything

Not told my story for at least four or five days

triplets · 16/06/2008 22:07

Aw, is he still sleeping well? Bless him, keep thinking about him, them, with their wonderful new life, nothing in the world like a baby to spread happiness!

shabster · 16/06/2008 22:10

He is going about 4 hours between feeds in the night - on Sunday I kissed his lips, just really lightly and he tried sucking my lips for grub!!! I kissed him again before he went and said quietly 'did my moustache tickle your lips' he did a massive 'wind' smile but I almost dropped him with suprise!!

He wants to be over your shoulder all the time not lying in your arms. Once he is over your shoulder he looks around and stares at everything!! Beautiful, beautiful boy - I am so lucky.

Can you tell I am not biased at all

triplets · 16/06/2008 22:11

To talk about our children all be it to have to talk about the loss of our children just becomes natural, its part of my life, your life, its nothing to hide away from, I always think it strange when my family never mention days like Matthews birthday to me, his "remember" day, it feels unatural that they don`t, and it hurts. So I for one will talk about him to the cows come home, its so lovely to have the chance to say his name

shabster · 16/06/2008 22:14

Your right Trips - I just suprised myself earlier - I love that phrase 'remember day'. We go on hols on the 28th and on the 30th it is my Matthews 24th birthday. I cant wait to celebrate his birthday - Nikos is going to help out by providing some food and we are going to sing on karaoke till we frighten away the punters!!!

triplets · 16/06/2008 22:14

Shabs...please will you shave before kissing my honourary grandson? I dont want him to think all his ya yas are like that, should I send you some Immac?

triplets · 16/06/2008 22:18

Oh my.............24.where have all those years gone Shabs? How long have we known each other now? Oh guess what? I was digging out the debris at the back of James`s bed today and found a box of old photos etc, of course you start going through it and there was a letter from you, dated Feb 1998, sent just after the trips came home!

shabster · 16/06/2008 22:19

Dont worry Trips - I am growing it and am going to curl it up like an RAF Seargant!!! Besides his Great Grandma Dotster has a better one than me

I think its compulsory for Grandmas, Ya Yas and Nanas to have moustaches - isint it?

When I texted Nikos to tell him Lewis had arrived he sent the following text:- 'When he born?. Thats realy good dareling. Tell to your soon and ema congratulation from me please and I wish him to be healthy and lucky in hes lifeX Kiss Luis from me X my love to all your family. And when you here we celebrate for the babe XX
