Morning ladies. Sorry I have been so neglectful. I lost track of you all but had to come back when I saw that Shabs' Lewis has arrived. And OMG he is a handsome and gorgeous lad! Also love the pics of your 4 boys Shabs .

Will have a go at catching up but know I will fail, so hope everyone is well. I saw some new names so will have to check out who has joined.

My DTs are now 5 months old . DD is a PITA and DS2 is a golden boy... They are lovely though.

lydle3 · 15/06/2008 08:19

Thanks triplets.

sadly for us the situation is not new, she was diagnosed with an astrocytoma visual pathway glioma (brain tumour) at 5 and a half months old now almost 9, has 3 bouts of chemo first almost 2 years. . . other a year and this one since Oct last year, radiotherapy for 6 weeks when baby was 2 weeks old and countless ops, she has something called an omaya (spelling??) resovoir in her head which leads to her cyst little bump on the outside which they put a butterfly needle in and syringe out fluid each week. Can i apologise in advance for those eating their frosties !!!! bit grim, sorry !

The problem is she doesnt have much vision left because of the pressure, none in one eye and only tunnel in the other, so they are trying to preserve whats left and this lose of hand/arm leg when cyst keeps filling, they cant seem to gain control, 95mls on Monday and already fri hand starting to go so not sure what they will see on monday, but she is very brave and a real fighter so we shall see . . . . .

Good luck with the start of your husbands chemo !! Is he nervous to ??

Mars thanks for the lemon drizzle cake . . . . but can you make it diet as still trying to slim for wedding (Oct 4th) and dress is in shop, going to try in 2 weeks and want it to do up !!!!!

Bloody hell Oooggs. Just saw your post on another thread in active convos. I missed you were expecting! Congratulations!

Also to LG&T as not sure if I have managed to congratulate you yet.

Almost broody. But not quite...

brucelovesfrumpygrumpy · 15/06/2008 12:59

Hullo!!

lydle, hi and welcome, you sound so brave!

TIGS!

egg, we have a roundup thread if you need to catch up......I've done two so far, its killing me!!!!!!

Nice dancing Shabs, Momma, Trips and Tigs. I note none of you shaved/waxed

DP and me would appear to be brewing a large argument. We are currently snip, snip, snipping at each other We are meant to move house later this year and we are having a big difference of opinion about when to sell this house. He is ruling with his head. I, of course, am ruling with my heart. Its not going to be pretty.

brucelovesfrumpygrumpy · 15/06/2008 13:03

I feel like running away today I am working hard. I am cooking, cleaning, laundering, organising, preparing, hugging, wiping, etc, etc. And still the list grows and grows.......

I feel I am taking 35 steps forward and 58 steps back.

p.s. where is HM? Shouldn't that young lady be back?

snorris · 15/06/2008 15:44

Well,I've finally told my parents . I waited until after my 12 week scan and texted the picture (see profile ). I did get a bit worried that my mum wasn't talking to me (or my sister) as neither of us had heard from her. Turns out though she was in Liverpool at the time (some WI conference thing ) so was a bit busy. They're fine about (tough if they weren't),in fact my dad is pretty chuffed,I think mum's just a bit worried about the lack of space-looks like another house move is on the cards.

The scan itself was fine, the nuchal fold measurement was 2mm and combined with my bloods I have a 1:2250 of Downs Syndrome-not bad for an old bird . TBH that doesn't worry me,I was more concerned whether there were any signs of a heart condition. A cardiac scan is being arranged anyway.

Oh,and I wouldn't sit on that chair-who knows what might happen .

shabster · 15/06/2008 21:51

Dingdong for you.....sounds like our house xxxx

iamdingdong · 15/06/2008 21:59

thanks shabs, am pretty myself he shows this side rarely, but I'm always embarassed when he does, it happened too often with my family, so they are now used to it but Ihad hoped neighbours would be spared

triplets · 15/06/2008 22:02

Good evening one and all..............have you had an exhausting day? I was dutiful and cooked Dh bacon and eggs whilst he opened his pressies. Then off to the cemetery to take flowers to my Dad and Matthew, then to the garden centre to but plants for H from Matthew, I do that every year, then lunch, then ironing, then bedrooms, then supper, now its 10pm and guess what...........boys still carrying on!! Got back ache, but apart from that and waiting up half the night for Shabs to come home........I`m fine

ps.......Shabs..........Lewis is a week old today
