I was 8 - short, slightly chunky with a pudding basin haircut that my mam had done. I really loved the Beatles and my favourite was Ringo Starr I was the marbles (or murps as we call them in Lancashire) champ of our street.

shabster · 14/06/2008 00:10

shabster · 14/06/2008 01:32

Still wide awake!!!

This is ace!!

MerryMarigold · 14/06/2008 03:22

Rewinding.......Thanks for the tumble drier advice. Yeah, Shabs, I am a big fan of the washing line. I actually enjoy hanging clothes out and bringing them in!!! And they do munch electricity like it's not shooting up in price. But Winter with twins may not be easy without a tumble - we have limited radiators and they are expensive to run as well...not sure, will have a look. We have no way to put the hose outside so if it is really pricey for one of those condenser things like trips has then I guess the radiators will do.

shabs - you iron JEANS AND T-SHIRTS. OMGOODNESS. I don't iron anything, once you've worn it for 5 minutes it looks crushed anyway, and if it was unironed to start with, the creases fall out after a couple of hours . My Mum had a funny attitude to ironing, she didn't iron much, but always ironed tea towels - errrrrrrr...doh? At least I didn't inherit that little obsession!

shabster · 14/06/2008 07:06

Hiya Momma - dont worry about the post - our postman always has a face like that!!

OK I give in - anybody know if they make XL tail feathers - for an XL bum that only a West Indian man could appreciate

shabster · 14/06/2008 13:48

Shake a tail feather!!

In the video her backing singers have got brilliant outfits on!! In 1971 (I was 15) I had the same clothes BUT a black pinafore dress with an orange skinny rib short sleeved jumper underneath. As I already had a fine pair of Dolly Partons I must have looked wonderful

I always used to say to my friend (Osmonds ticket friend) 'I cant believe how many boys talked to me tonight!!' Shame I didn't realise they were not looking at my face

TiggerLicious · 14/06/2008 18:11

Tina is so cool!!!!!!!!!

But it has to be the Elvis one Shabs!!! I can't find it anywhere. Hes dancing in a club with the woman with the red dress on!!! LOL

shabster · 14/06/2008 19:44

I know whats wrong Trips....you need a night with me in Faliraki. We will start off rather nicely with a couple of cocktails. Taxi down to Bar Street. Call in all the bars where we know the owners so MMMMMUUUUCCCCHHHH cheaper drinks. Down onto the beach to................the bar where Nikos is working - few hours of perving and several screaming orgasms (cocktails ladies...easy now, as you were) then back up to Fat Freddies on the Corner (yes that is the shops name) for a kebab and a sing song with Fat Freddie.

oooggs · 14/06/2008 20:04

welcome lydle3

lydle3 · 14/06/2008 20:20

Thankyou, such a warm welcome from everyone !!

Im having a fairly ok weekend so far, my partner is in the T.A and was going away, but baby (17 months) woke up in very bad mood, whingy rubbing ear and hot, so a particular look from me, the dont you dare leave me with these kids while you go away for a jolly earn extra money look, decided to stay. So hes home, but baby better aided by many doses of calpol.

Eldest and middle were due to go to their dads, but the novelty of sitting in his house doing nothing while he watches football wore off years ago, so made lots of excuses and went up to my mums where they get spoilt and rules disappear as you walk in!!

Middle daughter is on the last day of oral chemo drugs that i give her at home, of the last cycle hooray !!!! cycle lasts 5 weeks so in about 4 all finished, but she has a large cyst next to tumour which keeps filling and filling, they drain every week but cant seem to get control of, so causing her hand to lose function and walk with slight limp, so big drain monday and MRI scan at 11 to see whats happening.

Sorry very long compared to everyone else !!!!!

oooggs · 14/06/2008 20:36

yes ds2 (14mths) had calpol today - think his teeth are bothering him

lydle - you post away, I just can't think of any news!! I'm bored and should really go to bed as shattered and still feeling sick 24/7

triplets · 14/06/2008 22:17

Hi LYDLE, glad you hve joined us, how brave you all are. I will say a prayer for you for the scan, I know now something of what you must be feeling, my Dh was diagnosed with cancer in March, had surgery in April and starts chemo next Tues. I am terrified of the whole thing, esp chemo, cant bear the thought of him going through it, so how you must feel with your darling daughter I dont know. Stay with us, we all need each other at times and Mars makes a mean lemon drizzle cake!

triplets · 14/06/2008 23:29

triplets · 15/06/2008 00:12

Sorry Shabs..............have to hit the sack, "Gladys" is keeping me awake at night, rustling and making rude noises!! Keep saying I am going to get to bed early, guess this is for me!
