TiggerTonkerTruck · 30/05/2008 12:42

Ruby!!!!! LOL PMSL

Try harder young lady!!! You just stuck The Doula in front of Mars' name

brucelovesfrumpygrumpy · 30/05/2008 13:05

Doula need me?

Doula need me!

Doula ever wonder......

Doulas from Mars!

Doula Lemon Drizzle

Doula with Cake

MarsLady · 30/05/2008 13:47

You're all rubbish! PMSL!

Well I've been thinking about the name and I talked to another doula. My business name is putting of a rather large section of the community because of the slavery connotations. Now.. this isn't a political discussion but it is something that's occurred to me before however I really liked the name. Well now.. the name doesn't sit right with me.

So I need a new name. Not easy this name lark. I'm off to research a few and will bring them back for your inspection.

oooggs · 30/05/2008 13:48

LG&T - maybe a bit worried after what happened last time

MarsLady · 30/05/2008 13:53

Right... I need the word for mother in different languages please.

I want to keep doula in the title because then I'll pop up on google etc.

iamdingdong · 30/05/2008 14:07

'mama' is the most commonly used word for mother across various languages/cultures

iamdingdong · 30/05/2008 14:08

I have just made victoria sponge, scones and a pavlova

iamdingdong · 30/05/2008 14:08

MarsLady · 30/05/2008 14:09

I know... but someone already has it dagnamit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sob!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe I should plagarise your name and be DingDongDoula!

MarsLady · 30/05/2008 14:14

I may have it.. but let me see if I can get it before I reveal all (unless one of you comes up with something brilliant!)

shabster · 30/05/2008 14:16

Greek word for mother is meetera (with the e sound heavier on the last e) BUT the best Greek word is the word for Grandma - it is Ya Ya.

hattyyellow · 30/05/2008 15:45

Just the one...Just the one...Just the one...Just the one....

How relieved am i!!!!!!!

MarsLady · 30/05/2008 15:50

and how disappointed happy are we!

largeginandtonic · 30/05/2008 15:54

Yay Hatty! Was thinking about you ealier, just a biffa baby you are carrying them

Yes Mars my inspireddoula is rather good [pleading emoticon]

hattyyellow · 30/05/2008 15:56

Such a massive relief. Midwife at hospital was quite forthright in being pretty pissed off at my community midwife - she said my uterus got stretched so much last time with two big babies that I was bound to stretch early - and that it was ridiculous to try and find the heartbeat at 10 weeks- wish I'd known all this when I got booked in!

Just the one...just the one...just the one

mandybagpuss · 30/05/2008 15:59
