Hey Gruesome!

So LG&T is it twins or triplets?

Cranial Osteopathy. It's free. They take donations Get the wee Pazzettes and appointment pronto! It's a good, non-invasive check up for them.

TiggerTonkerTruck · 28/05/2008 21:52

Gruesome!!!!!

twolittlepigs · 28/05/2008 21:59

Pazza, I know Mars is coming to the rescue on Monday, but I'll try to describe what I did and see if it helps in the meantime...

I could only manage tandem feedng fractious DTs properly when there was someone there to help, so when I was on my own I did this:

Put both babes safely next to me on the lounge (or bed)

Sat on our L shaped lounge (or bed) with my feet up on the longer bit (IYKWIM) of the lounge

Bend one leg up kind of like sitting cross legged with one leg

Put one babe in the upside-down V of my bent leg and bounce that babe

Attach babe 2 and settle down

If babe 1 still crying - gave my finger to him to suck (like your DTs, mine never took to dummies...)

Hmmm....that probably makes no sense and sounds horribly complicated, but it was actually very simple and worked a treat just about every time! Better than having one in the rocker...

Well, hope that helped...

Oooh Ooooh! I have a corker of a stoooopid twins question!!! From last week...

"Is that twins?" (Don't even get me started on the grammar of that!!)

Me: Yep.

"Identical?"

Me: (sighing inwardly) No, like chalk and cheese - see one has blonde hair and blue eyes and the other dark hair and eyes..."

"Are they maternal?" (No that's not a typo - he said Maternal!!)

Me: Umm, they are fraternal if that's what you mean - like brothers...

"No, I mean are they chromosomal?"

Me: I don't know what you're asking me?

"How many eggs were there?"

HUH?????

I wonder which answer I should have given him?

The number of eggs stimulated, retrieved, mature, fertilised, or transferred???

Oh and today the guy at the launderette asked which was the clever one!!!

Umm the one on the right. We're pretty sure the other is simple...

MarsLady · 28/05/2008 22:11

I might be smiling but don't let me at the stupid tw*ts that said that about those gorgeous wee boys!

twolittlepigs · 28/05/2008 22:19

Awww, tanks Mars!!

I just shake my head sometimes (actually most of the time...)

Which is the good one, which one sleeps better, who's the trouble-maker, which one is more handsome....I've had them all - in only six short months....

Have you had your holiday yet?

MarsLady · 28/05/2008 22:25

Yes I did. I kinda had a wee fainting spell on the way home and gashed my head. Had lots of stitches... but doing better. Head hurts when I'm tired and reading is a bit of a pain as well.

Now I need another holiday to recover from the first one!

twolittlepigs · 28/05/2008 22:30

Hmmm....do we need to talk about your drinking?

Hope you're OK!

triplets · 28/05/2008 22:47

Evening ladies........bit late today aren`t I? Been entertaining kids and their friends all day, then my niece came for 4 hours to use the pc, Dh still in grumpy mode so I guess its just another normal day in the Peace camp!

MarsLady · 28/05/2008 22:49

Hi trips my angel! Been thinking good thoughts about you all day!

triplets · 28/05/2008 22:55

Thank you Mars...............my whole lite atm seems to be endless cals or letters about DH and cancer, even woken by a call from the stoms supplies people! Life is never dull here!! Where is Shabs?

triplets · 28/05/2008 22:55

Yes I am tired, excuse the errors!

MarsLady · 28/05/2008 22:57

Shabby is weeping because she didn't meet the floozy FG in Manchester. Last we saw of Shabby she was tearing at her breast screaming insanely. Normal day really!

shabster · 28/05/2008 22:59

Hiya Trips [fed up and sick of DH emoticon] you OK honey?

Bet Frumpy has had an amazing time. So wish I could have gone to meet her. Another time, another place maybe?

Sounds like you have had a busy day Trips?

shabster · 28/05/2008 23:03

One of my favourite 'wallowing' songs

Think DH pessimistic way of thinking is rubbing off onto me!!

triplets · 28/05/2008 23:12

Shabby me darling! I hear a note of despondancy in your vocals, it wont do. Our Lewis will soon be here with us and only about 20 odd sleeps to Faliraki?? This will make you laugh, I was trying to get 5 kids organized to take to the pool, mine weny upstairs and put their swim gear on, but forgot to pack underclothes for changing into. So I went up and grabbed boxers for James and y fronts for Thomas as that what they each wear. Alice, Beccas best pal said, "Thomas why dont you wear boxers"?
"Cos I hate them".

To which my James replied,
"Thomas, you`re so last season"!!
Made me roar

triplets · 28/05/2008 23:14

Shabs, heard a great old song today, good un for us
Bachman Turner Overdrive- You ain`t seen nothing yet, bbb baby.............

shabster · 28/05/2008 23:16

Now that is funny Trips.

Just sick of hearing 'we cant afford this bloody holiday - its your fault we have booked it.' More than a dozen times a day.

I know I have much to be grateful for - most of all Lewis - BUT sometimes I cant be the happy smiling 'I will prop you up' clown!!

Im tired of being his 'prop!'

Dont worry I will be back to normal in the morning xxx

triplets · 28/05/2008 23:18

Wel mine is still being an obstinate porker, been to the allotment again today, and had a large G&T tonight, he aint gonna change, not even for us.

shabster · 28/05/2008 23:18

My pleasure

triplets · 28/05/2008 23:18

Go without him Shabs, save on the spending money

MERLYPUSS · 28/05/2008 23:21

Evening laydeez.
Like the twin questions. I have had most of them in my short 'twin career'.
Are they natural - like that one as opposed to ???
And I only wish I had a pound for every time people ask if they are ID. Thomas is 4lb heavier than Isaac and they feel they have to comment about him being smaller all the fecking time. Grr. Yesterday I told someone the reason was because Isaac was premature. You could almost see them trying to work out how Thomas got here.
Any road up. I am feeling rather guilty as I have scoffed a family bag of maltezers and try as I might I can't reason them into being part of a health diet. Not like choccy nuts. They sell nuts in health food shops. Therefore choccy nuts are practically health food. See where I am coming from?
