Awwww girls - Emma has been awake since 6am - she cant get comfy, she cant get to sleep, she still has the strong stabbing pains up her flue and heartburn till she wants to throw up!! Meanwhile my DS1 is fast akip and snoring

I keep asking questions like:- 'does your tummy keep going tight??' She keeps replying 'No shabba Im not having contractions [said with a sigh emoticon]

She tried to sleep on her side and Lewis moved about so much it made her roll onto her back!! Ha Ha - me and him are going to have such fun. 38 weeks tomorrow......

TiggerTonkerTruck · 26/05/2008 10:44

Shabs LOL I am rattling my prayer beads to try and make the baby come before you leave...but now I'm not sure if you really would leave once you saw the baby...maybe I should pray for an overdue baby..I'm sure Emma won't mind
So glad Chellster got my message, I forgot to say they smelt wonderful too!!!!

FG I have exactly the same problems with my lot. I have older girls that come round who want to play with just my girls and leave brandon out.
For some reason boys aren't fussy and any of Brandons friends always mix with the girls.

I tend to do the speech "Make sure you all play together please" very loudly when their friends arrive whilst looking at the older girls. Then pop my head out every so often and shout "You o.k Brandon?" This usually makes the girls get the message
Pools are such hard work with different ages FG anyway,I have problems when my nephew comes as he is small and hates to be splashed whilst the others want to drench him Pack it away and get a trampoline!! kids play great on those things!!!

I've tried, Hoochie, honestly, but she's not a great fan of online... She thinks you're probably all weirdos or hairy truckers named Burt from Wolverhampton... Also she now has 5 (five!!!) children aged 2 and under, so may be a little busy running a military campaign for the next few months years.

frumpygrumpy · 26/05/2008 14:51

I took DD1 for a bit of girly shopping (DTs are at nursery, DD1 is off school for half term). She may only be 7 and a half but boy, she can shop. Why does she now look fantastic and I look like a bag of shite?

I am now knackered and skint!!!!!

WeirdyHairyTruckerBurt · 26/05/2008 14:55

Did someone mention me?

WeirdyHairyTruckerBurt · 26/05/2008 14:58

duchesse, thats fine, when/if she needs us, you can guide her in. We play nice and I even shave my legs........ sometimes.

WeirdyHairyTruckerBurt · 26/05/2008 15:04

Great weights btw duchesse.

HM, how long is HD away for? And where are you staying atm?

Thanks Momma/Tigs. I will try to have that particular little girl over on days when school is off and DTs are at nursery. It must be hard when you have no siblings to come into a house like ours. It makes me want to just invite the kids that fit in well but then thats being grumpy and we all know I'm not a bit like that [innocent]

Triplets...... sorry to hear it. Its just thoughtless on his part. It just doesn't occur to some people. A little of the right words can do so much. Jeez, your breakfast sounded FABULOUS. Believe me, if I walk closer to you I would have run round and hoovered(with my mouth) up the lot

WeirdyHairyTruckerBurt · 26/05/2008 15:07

Shabs, what basis does your man have for thinking you will be shagging like a banshee every time he leaves the house? What a pain for you. Has he never applied the "if you love someone set them free" method of loving?

Neenztwinz · 26/05/2008 17:20

Thanks again for all the support everyone.

I have a little problem with BFing - Esther seems so fussy sometimes. it's like she doesn't realise the nipple is in her mouth and she shakes her head from side to side and then puts her mouth on the breast but doesn't suck. Sometimes she'll go on and feed for a good 10 mins but other times she'll just mess about. I expressed 1oz before to see if she'd take it from the bottle and she did, which made me think she is hungry and just has a problem with the breast, but the next two feeds have gone well and she has had 10 mins each from the breast. I don't want her to prefer the bottle so would rather not express so should I just perservere with trying to get her on the breast, and think if she doesn't go on then she might just not be very hungry. She put on 3oz last week and has fed better this week, so should I just wait to see if she has gained a good weight?

We had a good night last night. They fed at 9.30pm, 12.30, 4.30 and 8am. They settled well after the 12.30 feed so I got a couple of hours sleep. They took a while to settle after 9.30 and 4.30 but DH took over at 4.30 so I got more sleep. One of the best nights we've had actually.

We are doing all the wrong things of course - rocking them to sleep, letting them go to sleep with a dummy, sleeping downstairs in the lounge with them (they just seem to sleep better down here in their carrycot - we have tried taking the carrycot upstairs but it is not as effective). But whatever gets them (and me) to sleep is all I care about at the mo!

WeirdyHairyTruckerBurt · 26/05/2008 17:30

Neenz, Momma and Mars will guru you through the b/fing bit. Do persevere, she is settling into this and doing great by the sounds of it. Personally, I'd stick to breast only for now or she might get a bit confused as to where milk comes from..... Let her know mum = milk. In a few weeks you can let DP do the odd bottle of expressed. Keep going darling, you are doing very well, truly xxx. Just keep reminding yourself that these fist few months are a complete whirl with their needs changing day by day. Keep focussing on the massive bottle of champagne we'll you'll drink on their first birthday

WeirdyHairyTruckerBurt · 26/05/2008 17:31

Its fg by the way. I just popped on my Burt zip-up suit for duchesse....

MarsLady · 26/05/2008 17:31

Sounds reasonably normal neenz. Now I hope you've remembered NOT to hold the back of their heads when they feed. I'm sure you have.

Sounds like she's sorted herself out anyway. If it happens again simply allow her to do the breastcrawl up to your breast and find it herself. Often we over help them and that makes things worse iyswim.

As to sleeping in the carrycot downstairs, is that because there's noise going on? How about a white noise CD in your room?

To be honest, especially with DTs, the most important thing is sleep and you can remedy the rocking, carrycot downstairs thing in a few weeks. For now... SLEEP when you can.

You are my WOOOMAN!!! I'm well up for that delicious dinner

There. Keep going Triplets xxx.

WeirdyHairyTruckerBurt · 26/05/2008 17:48

Oh yeah and ditto the sleep thing. If they are asleep, let them sleep wherever they may be and whatever they may be in. Thats your chance to sleep too. If you move them, and wake them, time over.

shabster · 26/05/2008 18:12

Burt - think DH feels like that since I was arrested for running a house of ill repute [joke emoticon] [dig yourself out of a hole emoticon]

Trips - will be round asap. Fancy all that and second helpings. Dont bother with a pud just plenty of whats on the menu will be fine for me.

DH is packed for Faliraki we dont go till the 28th of June!! There are so many other jobs he could have done [critical emoticon]
