Hi,
I am 20 wks preg with ID twins and was diagnosed on Friday with TTTS (early stage III) I am going to st Georges in London tomorrow for fetoscopic laser surgery on my placenta to try and save them. Chances of both twins surviving is only 1/3 and I am heartbroken. I don't know anyone who has been through this but would love to hear from anyone with experience of it.
Keeping everything crossed.

don't have any direct experience for you, but if you look at the TAMBA message board, you will find lots of people with experience of TTTS. Unfortunately, unless you are a member you can't post, but you can phone the Twinline where you will be given lots of support - the number is on their home page www.tamba.org.uk TAMBA

Will be thinking of you today.

Hi! Thanks for your good wishes. I had the laser surgery on tues and it seems to have worked!! Both twins doing well despite one measuring 2 weeks less than the other, but both now have normal fluid levels and seem happy., Amazing outcome considering the outlook a week ago. The man who performed the op is a miracle worker in my eyes!!

WIll kep you posted.

Hey there
Hope you are well fat and happy! I had lazer surgery for TTTS at 23 weeks, and my boys are now 4 and a half starting school this September, if you still have questions or just want to share with someone who has been there feel free to get in touch!
All the very best for you and yours
Siobhan
