Dad here - Our one year old babies are one, going down is easy 4/5 times, 10 mins tops. 7:30. By 10:30 -11:30pm usually one awakes - usually easy fix always a dummy. Then its usual.pattern one will wake multiple times every hour and half eventually waking the other one and inevitably we take one to a bed and then the other one eventually the same thing.
They are in separate cots in same room
Sometimes it both or it's the other one.
You think your on a run and then an illness of some sort appears
We have to work and drive distances , can't not give in
Any advice
Sick of it
Thinking of separating them into separate rooms For some cry training

I had the same thing with my twins till they were 2 ish and then things started to improve. The way we coped with it was to put a mattress on the floor between the cots. So we wouldn't get then out of the cots but hold a hand and soothe them through cot bars. Whilst lying down on the mattress and under a duvet. This broke the pattern of being them into our bed. And gradually improved but it also meant that on a bad night my dh and I would split the night so each get an undisturbed 4 hours or so. Things improved for us when they got to almost 2 and we took them out of cots and into toddler beds. Not an ideal solution but it's what we did.

Thanks, think we going to try Ferber routine and see how we get on. We had discussed your idea as another option so may hold in reserve

Twin mum here 👋🏻

What are their nap routines like during the day? At age 1 I think mine had dropped to one midday nap during the day. Guessing if you're at work then maybe they're in childcare so naps aren't an option. But I found dropping naps would disrupt night time sleep.

Mine are 2 now and there's no naps but I keep the bedtime routine as consistent as possible, white noise in the room, banana and milk before bed (to keep their tummies full). It's not faultless though and I really do feel your pain on twin sleeping issues, it feels utterly relentless.
