HarrogateMum · 25/04/2008 10:24

Morning all - I am ok ta Shabs, thanks for asking (even though that was yesterday!). Not getting much time for Mumsnetting! Hope all well with everyone. FG - I am going away just for one night tomorrow night and am stressed about it so I know how you feel!

TiggerTonkerTruck · 25/04/2008 10:26

As in camel Shabs?

Morning HM!!

shabster · 25/04/2008 10:29

Nutter

Hoofers are massive barm cakes!! Our local shop sell them and they are as big as a dinner plate. When they put all the fillings in them you have to be careful to not drop them on your toe

Right, I am not here I am knitting.

Oh Shabs, postman came this morning with your parcel, made me cry. It's beautiful, thank you so much. I really mean it. Will email you pics of him in it when I get chance. Can you adopt me?

The lil fella has put on 1lb this week, that explains my last two nights of very little sleep.

DT2 finally happy to hold hands and toddle around. Am going to arrange a cranial osteopath appt for him to see if it improves his temper.

shabster · 25/04/2008 12:55

So glad you got it Pixie - consider the adoption done and dusted!!

Very pleased that you like it.

Give him a kiss from me.

hi tigger pmsl re baps - I once innocently asked a FIT waiter in Bruges "have you got any mussels?" then we all collapsed ROFL

that Belgian beer is quite strong

frumpygrumpyhasnofaceon · 25/04/2008 15:24

Can someone explain? Why do I do the worry/panic/worry thing about me? I ask because when someone else has a problem/crisis , I am your woman. Cool, calm and unflappable (sp?) then. I can do mouth to mouth, blood does not make me squeamish, I can rationalise crazy thinking and I'm practical. When its me, I crumble. You can ignore this, I'm just typing out loud. I can save it for the fruitbat wifey.

Right. I have had my moan. Now I must get on with important things, like childcare and dinner

FG, it is soooooooooooo much easier when you are on the outside looking in because there are no emotions attached. Everyone elses problems always seem to have an answer but never your own

I picked all my crap up off my mum I'm afraid and now I can see where it comes from its easier to stop...I am so not going to be that nervy and I really don't want my kids too I might go a bit far with them sometimes though, on the bravery front, and I think I might have turned them all into little Evel Knevels!!! LOL

Confidence is the key my friend!!

Pazza, I once went out for a works meal with some very lively friends and some of us decided to have these jacket potato skin thingies (probably a posh word for them, but thats what they were) so she shouted out to the waiter very loudly
"We'll have Four skins thank you"
Not an ounce of shame I can tell you

Oh and my mum used to visit me every Tuesday and on leaving she would amuse all my neightbours by shouting, quite unaware,
"C U Next Tuesday"

Ohhh how I laughed ...........

PazzaPlusTwo · 25/04/2008 15:41

FG - are you a delicious fruit crumble?

Lie on the shagpile couch love ... how can we help you?

What is it about going away that's getting to you? Is it going to be a stressful trip rather than enjoyable and relaxing? Or are you more worried about things not getting done while you're away / dropping the routine and having to pick it up again / the extra work caused by going away?

PazzaPlusTwo · 25/04/2008 15:47

Tiggs HA HA HA HA HA

my mum is a complete worrier too, and I try really hard not to be the same, but it does take effort!

shabster · 25/04/2008 16:01

My mam is just a total nutter

Just casting on 100 stitches for your new pelvic floor Frumpster.
