tkband3 · 22/04/2008 08:21

Trips, have only just read your post - am in tears thinking of what poor H went through yesterday, the poor, poor man. I will be thinking of you all today. Hugs and love to you all.

FG, hope yesterday went ok for you.

Oi Shabs - you forgot someone!!!

bossybritches · 22/04/2008 08:22

Triplets just caught up with this news- so so sorry that Harry has had this dreadful experience-diabolical service from the hospital but your lovely stoma Nurse Julie sounds a gem. She'll make sure he's Ok & kick up a fuss for you I'm sure (quietly behind the scenes) I have worked with patients having this sort of op & the loss of dignity & privacy is PARTICULARLY a big issue, more so with men than women I found. Although no less important to women I think bc we go through the mess & indignity of periods/childborth etc we can be more accepting that it's happening. IYSWIM

However keeping him hanging around for hours like that is just SO unfair & so unneccesary, If they had a bed crisis(as happens) they should have at least sent him home earlier so he could rest there in comfort while they sorted it out. Still not satisfactory but a damn sight better that what did happen.
Trip take care of yourself & try & get some rest if you can - all our thoughts & prayers are with you here in Bossyland xx

Just passing through and desperate to hear how things went with Harry. to read that. How awful. The nurses really have seen it all before but he must have been so embarrassed. There is always one nurse who is a gem. What a lovely one who cancelled her dinner. Good for her for that. I am sending lots and lots of love your way today trips. I can't get back to the pc til tonight but trips, if you still have my mobile, you can phone if you need to. I imagine you will be tightly wound all day. We are all sending you the biggest love and good stuff. All our hippie positive vibes coming your way

Counselling went well. I made a new river. I'm calling it Lake FG.

Please can someone text me if I can help Triplets today.

TiggerTonkerTruck · 22/04/2008 08:57

Shabs never ever list people in cyber land, its like writing it in stone

Trips,so very sorry for poor H yesterday. Brings back a lot of memories for me and I am saddened to see that nothing has really changed in the last ten years NHS wise
But like Bossy said you will get lots of very good staff, who will push as hard as they can for you and if my experience is correct pre op wards are always a bit 'grimey' they seem to be much nicer after

Ladies if I ever say I am going to bed during the day again STOP ME!!!! I could not sleep at all last night!!!

Aplogies ladies for hijacking into the multiples thread, but Triplets, wanted you to know that you are in my prayers today. I am a lurker and we've never spoken, but am so horrified by what has happened here (QEQM hospital, perchance?) that I couldn't not post, I am so upset on your behalf. Feels as if you are getting far far more heartache and challanges than any one life deserves.

I live not too far from you. If there is anything I can do, please cat me and let me know.

MarsLady · 22/04/2008 09:47

We don't mind the hijacks....BUT.... you do need to bring cake and/or alcohol!

ChopsTheDuck · 22/04/2008 10:07

Trips, sorry to hear about the awful day Harry had. I really hope today goes better for him.

I did a Momma dtoday! Thought I was getting rid of all four today, and the boys aren't back til tomo! At least it is sunny, will prob take them to legoland instead.

disney is ace, estar, mine loved it. It's jsut so well done, you can really get caught up in it. Mine keep asking to go to Paris after seeing the ads on tv, but they will have to wait til next year at least! Paris has the cars ride too, which Florida didn't have, I really want to go.

triplets, I've just found this after seeing you refer to your post on another thread.
I have been following your threads and am so sad about what you are having to cope with.
Your post about what Harry had to go through yesterday has left me typing this in tears - it is awful. The poor man. He should not have to suffer and lose his dignity like this, he is already suffering enough. He sounds such a brave man and I really hope today is better for him and for you. I dont know how you are getting through it, you are so strong.

shabster · 22/04/2008 10:22

Sending all my love and thoughts Trips.

Derrick says if H would like to e mail backwards and forwards or ring he would be more than happy to have a chat with him. D says he feels helpless and wishes we were closer, in miles. xx

captainmummy · 22/04/2008 11:12

Triplets - I've never posted on one of these threads (altho I have 3 - do I count?) but I just have to say, your fear and love and confusion and desperation shows through on your postings. I really really hope everything will be OK.

TiggerTonkerTruck · 22/04/2008 11:15

What the?...........

How lovely Tripsthat everyones turned up to support you.
See,you were worried who you could lean on,I think here lies your answer.x.

HarrogateMum · 22/04/2008 11:30

Triplets - I've only just caught up on the thread from yesterday - my thoughts and love are with you, poor H having such a horrible horrible experience at the hospital. Tigs is right, everyone here is here for you, we are all thinking of you today xxxxx

mammyjo · 22/04/2008 11:40

Another hijack (sorry)!

Triplets, I have seen your posts on OJ's thread and followed your here. I am so very sorry for what happened to Harry yesterday and I just wanted you to know that you are in my thoughts today. I really hope that the op goes well and he makes a swift recovery so that he can be back home with you very soon. Lots of love xxx

I noticed I was allowed to hijack as long as I brought cake, so here it is >>

shabster · 22/04/2008 11:46

mammyjo cake looks beautiful.

BUT one or two of us on the multiples (myself and trips especially) just love peanuts, crisps and Triplets adores chocolate covered nuts!! Any of the aforementioned will be wonderful

Got everything crossed for H - my mate Trips xxxx

MarsLady · 22/04/2008 11:49

frumpygrumpyhasnofaceon · 22/04/2008 11:51
