When did your DCDA twins arrive ?

I’m currently 33+6 weeks with DCDA twins & I’m booked for a csection at 36+6. Was just wondering how common it is to go into labour in the time between with DCDA twins. When did other people’s twins arrive ? Was it before booked c sections / inductions ?

I ended up being admitted at 36 weeks as was in early labour. I spent a week having these early signs but not really progressing. Was induced at 37 weeks (because that was protocol).

36+6. Planned section :)

My twins came at 33 weeks - was hoping to get to 36 weeks. I didn't go into labour early, one of my girls, who'd always been on the very low centile of growth just stopped altogether so they had to come early.

My MCDA twins came at 33 weeks

I'm sure I read that statistically, 50% of twins arrive before 37 weeks and 50% on/after.

Mine stayed in until my planned c-section at 37+0.

I was 36+1, but had been very much feeling like they were imminent from about 32 weeks - lots of loose bowel movements (tmi) and losing bits of plug. At my 32 week scan I was convinced I wouldn't get to my next scan (when they would have started discussing induction dates etc). And I was right, as I was due to have that scan the day they arrived.

37+2

waters broke 36+5 late at night and they came out by c section on 36+6. I'd planned to have c section the next day anyway but technically it was emcs. I was fully dilated by the time they got round to doing me.... wasn't too happy.

My friend's identical twins were born at 30 weeks. She went into labour. They are now at uni. Good that you are well beyond that OP. They were absolutely tiny at birth.

It's 24yrs ago now, but I was 39+1 at my induction, failure to progress then Em LUSCS.

Think they'd still be in there now if they hadn't been dragged out, they'd no intention of coming out 😬
