Growth decline

So both ny twins have declined in growth over three scans but twin one especially has gone from 70 something percentile, to right on track four weeks later to now just below 10%.

How did they start so strong and are now slowing down so much?

edited to add I’m now 35 weeks

I was under the impression it was common for twin growth to slow in the third trimester due to space.

Is your consultant concerned? If they are they would be looking at delivering now and at 35 weeks your twins should be good. My plan was never to go past 36 weeks with my twins. Although we didnt make it that far, they were born at 33 weeks.

Thank you. No but I haven’t been seeing my twins consultant and the ones I have been seeing (gestational diabetes clinic) haven’t really filled me with confidence for a few other things. I’m seeing my midwife Wednesday so going to see if she can get me a referral back to the twin consultant for peace of mind. Thank you for sharing that info. I think the consultant just made it sound very worrying but like you say you’d have thought they’d have wanted them out if they were really worried.

I had scans every 10-14 days from 16 weeks with my twin consultant. I didnt have any complications this was just routine. I would definitely ask for a scan with the consultant
