I agree with Tigger... you can go be her birthing partner. I think that she will need one, esp in light of the bfing etc.

If you want to call and talk through what you may need to do (or text) then please do, but if you are up for it (and she wants you there) I think it would be great. She needs to feel safe to give birth. The whole thing is already traumatic enough.

A vague description of yourself (don't lie cause I know the truth)

FG well done for going to the docs. There's only so much 'keeping on going' a body can take before we have to break down in front of someone, and often it's best that that person is removed from our immediate situation. Hope you feel better for it (or will start to soon anyway).
