Sorry, completely lost track of thread again .

Just popping on to apologise to Mars. Have not sent the book yet. Hopefully will do it on Saturday as DH is taking DS1 to his parents for the weekend so it will seem like a holiday for me with only the babies.

Also quick question, how on earth do you keep two babies awake in the day when you have a toddler as well and they fall asleep just about anywhere?

Egg · 20/03/2008 15:53

Triplets do you know the timescale for results? Any idea how long you will have to wait.

No advice on arthritis but have a couple of MN friends who suffer (not sure if same "type" tho). Will ask them about it.

frumpygrumpy · 20/03/2008 15:59

Triplet, I finally went to the PO today. Have posted the eye pillow but I don't know when it will get to you with the (I went to type Christmas!) Easter post...... When do you expect to get H's results?

HM, enjoy your evening young lady! Keep your name out the papers and all is fine

frumpygrumpy · 20/03/2008 16:02

Egg, first, I'd say how lucky they fall asleep anywhere! I think you just need to find a way to time and structure the naps a little more so that they are not so tired that they can't stay awake. Break the cycle (one day of hell) and then hopefully it will fall into place a little.

If they can stay awake a while after breakfast and have a nap say, 10am and then stay awake til after lunch that would be great. Then gradually they will need less and less of the morning one until (hopefully) you get a decent lunchtime/early afternoon nap. I would hope that after the first day of doing everything like dancing on your head and singing loudly it would already start to take shape........maybe.......don't quote me

frumpygrumpy · 20/03/2008 16:04

Oh, I've just looked at your profile, are they really just two months!? I feel you had them aaaages ago!!! In that case, not awfully much point in trying to structure naps, possibly just a little too early.

ROFL, today is kind of working as they actually did stay awake this morning after their milk rather than pass out for another 3 hours. They even slept for over 2 hours each IN THE COT at lunch, but then they fed again just before 3 and fell asleep again. Both now awake and yelling as I put them under the activity arch. DD played for a while but DS2 just shouted and shouted, and so then DD joined in, but at least they are not asleep!

DS1 never slept anywhere except moving buggy or moving car and occasionally cot if he was in the mood so I guess I can't complain.

Noise level is deafening, had better go!

MarsLady · 20/03/2008 16:40

Ladies... do me a favour please? If you see me post again on that blardy golliwog thread jump on me and pull me back. Get on my friggin' nerves those threads do and yet..... and yet....... Sigh.........

Knackered. Really need the women that I'm actually on call for to NOT go into labour this weekend. Need a break and a LARGE bottle of something!

Egg, my DD1 hardly slept day or night. My DTs were slightly better but only slightly, sleeping for maybe 40mins to an hour thru the day. You are one lucky mumma!

Ruby you have reminded me.......its easter. Shit. Forgot about chemists shutting.......and my DT2 is miserable.....

Am I the only person in the world who feels like everyone is doing happy easter stuff and I am doing bog all except keeping my head down and trying to avoid my ILs

I have a bloody sore head and I want to find a corner and curl up in it. Our school is shut for........3 weeks!!!! DTs still have nursery days so that is a plus. I have spent today trying to tame a lion. I set up painting things, they were done in 2 mins flat and charged about leaving me to chase after their painty fingers and clean up the paint......they charged into the garden after I chased after them with tights, wellies, jackets. Then they fought, fell out, cried (yes Ruby, in that voice) and came in after 5 mins leaving me the big pile of clothes and wellies to sort out. Cue me yelling like a banshee for them to help.

I have a laundry pile that can touch the roof ( nearly ) and only one glass of wine in the bottle

They are whineging. I have to go.

Will try to grab a gander at the golliwog thread Mars........ Here's your frock take care out their. Don't burn all your ends with a candle

twolittlepigs · 20/03/2008 17:31

Holy moses it's miserable out there! Just got back from afternoon nap walk - in the pissing rain!

All in all today has gone a little better than yesterday - the boys both napped twice without having to be pushed in the stroller! Admittedly they were more like catnaps and DT1 had to be breastfed off to sleep...but its a start right?!

Ruby - hope your easter weekend isn't too sober and that DTS perks up.

Mars - sleep, woman!!

Egg - now I am far from an expert on sleep, but found that keeping my DT's awake more during the day did nothing to improve their night sleep - it just got better on it's own. In fact the better slept they are during the day, the more easily they go down in the evening. (They're 15weeks old). That's why I'm desperate to work out how to get my guys to nap during the day!!!!! The opposite problem to yours!

frumpygrumpy · 20/03/2008 17:32

their = there

I assume know I will be forgiven

twolittlepigs · 20/03/2008 17:33
frumpygrumpy · 20/03/2008 17:45

thank you twolittle

Came back to say ignore me everyone. I love my three children I just have a horrible sore head. One of those, cheekbones/eye sockets/whole head being squashed heads. Probably PMT again. Bloody PMT 3-4 weeks of a month methinks. Periods that last a day and pour like a river. Sore bobos constantly. Skin like a teenagers (spots not glowing). But "it will just be normal for you" from the doctors. Bloody useless shitebags medical professionals.

There. Now I've done the moan I'm probably allowed to cry.

frumpygrumpy · 20/03/2008 17:46

DP gets home from the States tonight. Maybe I should get the plane to divert. Poor soul.

twolittlepigs · 20/03/2008 17:50

OK, afternoon nap walk has worked a little too well for DT2 - he's still sleeping. I put them down between 7.30 and 8. Should I wake him now????

FG - cry away! My shoulder is pretty bony, but there if you need it...

twolittlepigs · 20/03/2008 17:51

oh and you may just find a pile of baby vomit on it...the offer still stands, though!

shabster · 20/03/2008 19:53

Good evening ladies and the mighty frumpster

Frumpster - may make you smile when I tell you that I had gone 11 months without a period. Then in Feb I had a full blown pig of one - today my reproductive organs think they are 17 again (like my brain) and produce another one........menopause schmenopause.....keeping away from Derkster if there are still lurking eggs anywhere in my nether regions

oooggs · 20/03/2008 19:58

twolittlepigs - napping during the day ds1 & ds2 (dt2) would/will only sleep in carseat/pushchair - its a nightmare but heyho.

Both crap sleeping day and night - when it comes to sleep dd is an angel

iamdingdong · 20/03/2008 20:05

good evening ladies, after a week few days of abstaining I have had a bottle of champagne with DH, who has now gone to the pub and left me with a bag of cashews and bottle of pinot noir, so v happy had my meeting at work, got what I wanted, totally flexible 4 days over 5, apparently I am responsible enough to be trusted so no childcare problems, keep my car and my wine deliveries, yippee

now off to peruse the thread and catch up...

iamdingdong · 20/03/2008 20:12

HM but at thought that you will be well trained in the ways of this new fangled 'going out' business by the time of our meet up!

FG you have been having these problems for ages, is there really nothing they can do for you?

triplets life sounds pretty miserable at the moment, have a glass of red and an easter egg to cheer you up. I no nothing about rheumatoid arthritis (although I am amazed I can spell it after 2/3 of a bottle of champagne

BTW my DTs won the egg decorating comp at their nursery - a complete joke as they did them in 5 mins, no help from me, when we were in a rush the other day - they won because the others had 'obviously had help'
