7 weeks pregnant and so much bleeding

Hi I'm 7 weeks pregnant and for the past few days I've been bleeding so much just like a period, I've not had any stomach cramps but my lower back is so painful. I have spoke with the doctor and I'm booked in for an early scan tomorrow morning, just wanted to know if anyone else experienced this and everything was fine with the baby? I also gave birth 15 months ago and didn't experience any of this when I was pregnant with her
Thanks

It's really hard in early pregnancy because everything that can be a good sign can also be a bad sign and vice versa. It's good that you're getting an early scan so you'll see what's happening in there.

The heavy bleeding doesn't sound too great really so I think I'd be preparing myself, but you just never know. Prepare yourself but cling on to hope - and good luck with your scan.x

I'm sorry you are going through this. Some bleeding can be normal. I bled quite heavily and miscarried in December. I hope all goes well and sending positive thoughts x

I had loads and loads of bleeding between 6 and 16 weeks in pregnancy. As in, puddles of blood on the floor of A&E, I need transfusions etc.

Baby absolutely fine. Now 2yo. It scared the shit out of me, I had so many scans and every time would be sure she was gone and then there she was.

Bleeding isn't a good thing, but it might also still be okay. Supposedly 50% of pregnancy bleeding does go on to a baby.
