Prams??

Hi all. Currently expecting twins. We've been looking at prams. I would like side by side and think it sounds sensible to have the choice between a seat, a carry cot and a car seat. We've ruled out the Bugaboo Donkey purely on costs. I'm looking at the Mountain Buggy Duet and the Baby Jogger City Mini GT2. Has anyone got any advice? We were concerned about the narrow seats in the Mountain Buggy. The Baby Jogger might have convinced us as I've found a great package on the frame plus two carrycots but am then struggling to tell e.g. do we have to have adaptors etc for the car seats? The shop assistant suggested the Baby Jogger is the easiest to swap between carry cots, seats and car seats but honestly it's all so confusing!

Thanks in advance.

We had the MB Duet and it was great. Folded down to fit in boot of very average family car and (just) fit through standard doorways which is super handy in cafes etc.

I'd really recommend the Out and About Little Nipper double, we've got one currently (our twins are 4 months), we found it to be one of the cheaper options and it has been a truly fantastic buggy! We use it every day for the school run, it is easy to manoeuvre and is lovely and lightweight. They have so many options for accessories etc as well so would definitely recommend looking into it, we wouldn't be without it!

Depending where you are as well, we'd be looking to sell our carrycots and adapter soon 👍🏻

I know you have ruled it out but what about a second hand donkey? Seen quite a few on marketplace in recent months

Out n about was bloody amazing

Thanks all, will look at the out and about as well. DH is a bit unsure about a second hand pram - no issues at all about second hand generally but he's got some concerns about how much the frames etc have been ragged about and if there are hidden weaknesses / damage.

I've just realised I've looked at the Out and About - I couldn't get on with the three wheels arrangement!

I would take a second hand bugaboo donkey over anything else spanking new ANY day of the week. Plus bugaboo are great at being serviceable, you can get all replacement parts if needed, not that I would expect you’d have to as they are absolute workhorses. Plus they really hold their value, you’ll get good money back for it . I used to work in mothercare many years back and the donkey was so brilliant that I bought it for my singleton 🤣

The out n about little nipper double has 4 wheels, definitely worth looking at - here's the link to the one we have outnabout.com/little-nipper-double

We loved our mountain buggy duet for our twins. LOVED it. If you get the air-filled tires you can push it with one hand. Cannot recommend highly enough. Same width as a Wheelchair so can go places much easier that other wider side-by-sides. Good luck with your twins! They are the best! 👶👶

Thanks @doodlejump1980 - was it difficult to move between carry cots / car seats etc?
