Twin boy names problem

Hello currently 28.5 weeks and the names we have pretty much fallen in love with are Benjamin and Matthew buy my 10 year old really hates the name Matthew 😣 Any suggestions has anyone had same issue with older sibling before ir any recommendations for an alternative to Mathew? Xx

David, Luke, James,Timothy,Christopher, John or Jon, Steven/Stephen,.

Sort of Biblical vibe? But not!

Once they're born the older sibling won't think twice about the name. It's your choice not theirs.

Does his brother maybe like Matt or Matty? He can use the shortened name.

I have a friend with twin boys named Benjamin and ...... Matthew. The 10 year old doesn't get a say.

Happily for you it’s not your DC choosing the name. They’ll get used to. If you’re happy with it, don’t change it because a 10 year old doesn’t like it (at the moment).
When I was 10 I had an imaginary friend called Pierre… 10 year olds change their minds!

I agree with not letting a child choose your baby's name.

Why does the 10 year old not like the name Matthew?

I think it's nice to consider the 10 year old, has he said which names he likes

Our then 3 year old suggested we should call our twin boys Alice & Spider-Man. We had one boy’s name in mind that suited twin 2 but twin 1 was harder to name, we had a shortlist and picked from that.

If he’s been bullied by a Matthew I would consider his feelings. Benjamin, and Jonathan, or Alexander?
However if it’s totally random, he doesn’t have a say.
